🔥 NEGATION OF NEGATION IS HERE 🔥 we could not be more excited to release this into the world. this album traces pain, loss, rebirth, and is threaded through with a revolutionary optimism that emerges from the deep understanding of our inherent non-separateness. we have been making music together in various forms for over a decade, and we have never been as proud of a project as we are of this album. in the pits of covid and distance, we recommitted ourselves to our art and decided we were going to make a record. originally we only planned for a quick follow up EP to Spectator. by that point it had been years since we recorded that, and we were just looking for something to break the seal and get some creative momentum going. but, as happens, as soon as we started to work on putting finishing touches on some of the older songs we were resurrecting, new ideas began to flow, and negation of negation is what emerged. we are so thankful for the support from our communities, our friends and family, e s p e c i a l l y our incredible partners/spouses @tayramseyy & @jeanabearrr . to all our many friends who gave their creative input thru the process. to Tim Foley for bringing us into his practice space, letting us demo with his microphones, and allowing us to use his devastatingly beautiful painting as our album art. and to @adriankobziar & @ohmstead_collective / @ohmstead_recording for never giving up on this record and moulding it into it’s final form, something that is totally unique to what we would have produced on our own, yet somehow even closer to our vision than what we could imagine. we hope this album connects with people, we hope you like it, but in the end, its existence is sufficient. thank you we love you !! & happy spring equinox !! may the renewal of the earth bring the end of the empire !!

! surprise ! one last single to once again celebrate a sacred Friday the 13th! one single week before ~negation of negation~ the b side of this record can be listened to as a singular piece of music: “suffering is the seed” we opted to cut it into the original 3 songs rather than doing the whole 70s prog thing of one big song to end things, but they will always be intertwined! we love this song too much not to share it as one last little treat, a quick little peak into the b side of the album, a little “mmmm oh that’s pretty tasty thank you” “oh you’re welcome”, a little surprise surprise because we love you 2nd 📸 by @joexndrws obviously

✋!WHOATHERE!🤚 today in celebration of sacred Friday the 13th we are announcing the release of our debut album, negation of negation 🔥 NEW SINGLE ENCOUNTER OUT ON BANDCAMP AT LEAST NOW OTHER PLACES SOON ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ we have been waiting years for this moment. in the throes of covid, afflicted by distance, disruption, chronic illness and disability, we put out our ep spectator without much fanfare. It took exactly a year before we played our first show, and things have been slow ever since. In that time we’d collected a decent chunk of songs and decided just about 2 years ago that we wanted to make this record. our whole hearts and souls and bodies are inside this music today we’re releasing the second and last single from the album, encounter. It’s tied for the oldest song on the record (the other you’ll just have to guess) written back in the s u m m e r o f 2 0 1 9 ! our belief in this song carried us through many creative slumps and lulls, like a dim lantern guiding us through a dark bog. It’s the embryonic form of the record itself and the opening climax of the story arc. we hope you like it. our midwife for bringing this entity into the world was start to finish Adrian Kobziar. tracking, mixing, and mastering, fucking with fx during vocal takes, going coo-coo bananas with fuzz pedals, treating the construction of tone like a god building endeavor, this record would not be this record without him. we are deeply grateful. the album will come out on March 20th, the Spring Equinox. The negation of the negation of winter.
