During last year I was working and developing Serpentine with @page21.art an immersive interactive installation that it also developed in another project/performance with @siddiquie__ (which I plan to share in the future)
And @functional.jerk with whom we developed the sound design as well.

Serpentine is an interactive audiovisual installation, part of the Page21 collection of immersive experiences. It creates a dialogue between two iconic artworks: Serpentine Dance by Loie Fuller and Serpentinentänzerinnen by Franz von Stuck.
The figure of the serpent becomes a guiding thread, shaping the space with spiral movements of light, video, and sound. Visitors are invited to step into the dancer’s perspective, moving freely within the room and becoming part of the performance.
Just as Loie Fuller transformed her body into flowing, otherworldly shapes with fabric, this installation uses digital “interactive fabrics” that react to the audience’s movement. The result is an ever-changing play of abstract forms, where movement and transformation are the core of the experience.

Beim creative coding Workshop am 8. und 9. November haben die Teilnehmenden mit „Hydra“, einem Programmier-Programm für visuelle Effekte, eigene digitale Kunst generiert. 👾
Die Künstler*innen Flor de Fuego und David Hanraths zeigten dabei Schritt für Schritt die Basics und Anwendungsweise des Tools.
Am Sonntagabend gab Flor noch eine halbstündige Live-Performance. 🎆
Vorstellen kann man sich die Zusammensetzung eines Codes wie einen Burger, bestehend aus mehreren Ebenen. 🍔
Es gibt eine Source bzw. Basis, wie das untere Brot, zum Beispiel eine Wellenform (osc). Darauf folgt eine Farbe (color), das Burgerpatty. Effekte (Beläge) verändern das ausgehende Signal (rotate, kaleid, scale) und am Ende braucht es noch ein Brot, das den Burger vollendet (out).
osc(15, 0.1, 1) → erstellt sich wiederholende Wellen.
.color(0.2, 0.7, 1) → färbt die Wellen blau-türkis.
.rotate(0.5) → dreht das Bild leicht.
.kaleid(6) → erzeugt 6-fache Spiegelungen wie ein Kaleidoskop.
.scale(1.2) → vergrößert das Muster etwas.
.out(o0) → zeigt das Ergebnis auf dem Bildschirm.
Wie bei einem Prisma, wird beim Live-Coding Licht in verschiedene Farbbestandteile (rot, grün, blau) zerlegt. 🌈
Mit verschiedenen Effekten lassen sich zum Beispiel Geschwindigkeit, Deckkraft oder Position bestimmen. In der Gestaltung ist alles möglich – verschiedene Formen, Regenbogenfarben, Übergänge, Schachbrettmuster oder Spiegelungen. ♟️🪩🩵
Man kann außerdem die PC-Kamera oder GIFs einbauen. 📷
Bei entspannter Atmosphäre wurde sich kreativ ausprobiert und ausgetauscht. Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht und wir freuen uns schon auf viele weitere digitale Projekte mit euch!

Tanzperformance: Serpentine Encounters
Die Künstlerinnen @siddiquie__ und @flordefuega laden, im Rahmen der @extraschicht , ein zu Serpentine Encounters – einer immersiven Performance, in der Körper, Raum und Material zu einem poetischen Spiel verschwimmen. Die Grenzen zwischen Bühne und Publikum lösen sich auf, während Architektur, Bewegung und Zuschauer*innen in einen lebendigen Dialog treten.
Die Performance ist inspiriert von Loïe Fullers ikonischem Serpentinentanz sowie von Franz von Stucks Serpentinentänzerinnen, einem Kunstwerk aus der Sammlung des @mkk_dortmund .
