They don't have birthday cake at the balllpark, but they do have ice cream in a hat and ring pops!
Since Pan and I both had our birthdays last week, and her brother is on a field trip with his class and his Dad, she and I are playing hookey at the ballpark and loading up on sugar for our last birthday hurrah.
Wanted to say thank you to all of ya'll for the birthday wishes, via your calls, texts, messages, gifts, and other forms of communication. It is much appreciated. I hope that I didnt miss responding to anyone.
After being able to have dinner last week with my parents and some family in Palm Springs to, "Celebrate," it along with Mom whose birthday is just before mine, and getting tickets to go watch the Dodgers with little Pansy, who also shares a BD week with me, I decided to spend the actual day of birth all alone.
Ok, so I did have a few friends that enjoy hiking or mountain biking in the hills of the Angeles National Forest, which are behind me in this pic, come say hello. And I usually do a lot of talking to God and to myself, and I did respond to birthday messages at the end of each round of workout, but mostly, spent the day without too much talking while doing 12 hours of working out.
It consisted of a lot of the number 47, for the age I turned.
It started at the gym.
Deadlifts with 470lbs
Squats with 470 lbs
Bench with 470lbs
Then it was onto one of my favorite, "Gyms," a workout area at the foot of the Angeles National Forest which has a much prettier backdrop and far fewer people than indoor gyms. This is where I attempted a 470 minute body-weight workout. I went way over on time, but it was more important to get the numbers in, and I don't like to be rushed.
2,047 push-ups
1,047 dips
470 pull-ups
47 core rollers, from standing
All these numbers completed in 47 rounds, with a snack and/or singing/strumming a song at the end of each round, and then responding to each new birthday messages before starting the next round, so that I didn't fall behind on responding to ya'll.
12 hours of working out in one day, out in a little workout area up in the foothills . Pretty nice way to spend a birthday....
...even if am sunburnt and sore all over today and can't find a position in which to lay that doesn't hurt.
80's Heavy Metal Band Armored Saint releases a new album next month, but the music video from the single off that album, "Hit a Moonshot," released today.
What a fun stunt/acting job to work on! Getting to fight John and Ed, with Kevin overseeing all the choreography, David and Allison directing and producing and a welcome surprise to see old buddy Ron too!

Did you know that they don't allow food on the red carpet? I didn't either. I suppose if you're one of the big stars--a name talent, they always can make an exception. But for the small-role, low-on-the-totem-pole fugly character actors like me, they don't.
So when I got my XL popcorn last night (the only size, which comes with refills, aka, ALL YOU CAN EAT, my favorite words), I started eating before our movie premiere began so I could get a refill before the flick even started. But then we were asked if all of the cast could walk the red carpet for press photos and interviews, and I wasnt about to set my $11 bag of popcorn down and possibly have it seen as discarded garbage by a employee. 11 bucks is 11 bucks! So I took it with me.
That's when I was told that you're never supposed to take food onto the red carpet. Ever. I wasnt aware. I take food just about everywhere. To ballgames. On road trips. On airline flights. To the gym. To the bathroom. In the bathtub. Even to bed. BUT NOT ON RED CARPETS! Guess you learn something new every day.
Hopefully you'll watch the film, when it finishes its film festival run and hits theaters. @joshmurrayactor and @korstiaan1
worked on it for seven years to get it made.

Happy Easter!
What a blessing His resurrection is! And what a blessing it is to get to work with buddies!
Ok, so this Easter post is shameless self-promotion. Shame on me, but our episode of Yellowstone:Marshals airs tonight. (8pm on CBS or on Paramount+). It just happened that it fell on same day as Easter Sunday.
Adam booked a role on the show, whereas the rest of us were brought in by the great @matt_taylor_stunts and @ryan_sangster_ to do stunts as a bad biker gang. @nick__epper as the big scary fighter he's played as much as anyone in the industry, @dave.e.reaves as Adam's stunt double (Hence why they're clothed and bearded alike) and the other weirdo in this pic pretty much thought he was there to double Paul Revere, and kept running around screaming that the redcoats were coming, or something to that effect.
Happy Good Friday!
Earlier this week, these two troopers were travelling with me, when I realized we were going by one of the most well-known and photographed churches in the country, with its old rugged cross building built into the top of a red rock mountain above Sedona and their service was soon. And of course, it has almost zero parking at the top of the mountain, and none at all for a vehicle of my size. So these boys grabbed their water bottles and we did a 1.1 mile long hike up the mountain in the 95 degree heat in order to attend Mass, without any complaint! Such good kids.
Afterwards, they enjoyed a desert meal consisting of rattlesnake sausages, wild boar ribs, bison burger, and fries made from cactus rather than potatoes, with a prickly pear cactus dipping sauce. Then for desert they had prickly pear ice cream and candied scorpions!
Ok, so the candied scorpions weren't their favorite, but they still figured that travelling with Uncle Caz had some perks.
Morning hike with the family.
(Minus the two youngest, whose legs aren't quite long enough yet, and the two oldest, who were babysitting the two youngest, and whom the rock climbing parts of the trail may have proved too extreme at their age).
Spring Break at Zion.
Adam and I doing our physical therapy. Between us we've currently got torn shoulders, knee injuries, a warped neck, groin issues, recent illnesses and nerve damage. So we've been given PT exercises to help rehab. I can't remember if this one was on our doctor's list of recommendations.
Like Mick Jagger sang, "What a drag it is getting old."
I came across this old video and it made me chuckle. This is how a couple of #actors spent their days when they weren’t working. Never a dull moment on #venicebeach with @funcle_caz
Here's my Valentine! A 5lb cheeseburger. Along with 2 24oz baskets of fries, this makes for an 8lb meal. Its a food challenge heralded as the World's Largest Tillamook Cheeseburger Challenge. If one person can eat it all, along with all the fries, in all in one sitting, they complete the challenge. Thankfully, I had these kiddos, my other Valentine's, to help me finish!
Four of my favorite words in the English language. All. You. Can. Eat.
And that we did!
Well, maybe. Apparently, even those who were so stuffed that they couldn't eat another bite, still had space for frozen yogurt afterwards! 🤣
