Every set I work on is always very different and is based on the feel the music gives me, so there is no particular style to my work. There are some clear preferences though. The less pixels the better. The less colour the better. The more blur the better. No clarity whatsoever.
Today marks exactly 10 years since my very first live visuals set. First video is a teaser for that event back from 24.09.2016.
Working with various genres from ambient and dark techno to dream pop and 200 BPM bass hysteria, I have played with all kinds of mediums including personal recordings, software viewport, shamelessly watermarked shutterstock footage, old cinema, experimental animation, early GAN models, 2D & 3D graphics and archival tapes to support artists like SHXCXCHCXSH, Sisso & Maiko, ccontrary, Buttechno, Hmot, Moa Pillar, Milibri, Suokas and many more, on half-dead projectors in underground venues and massive LEDs at the festivals.

Moving between hip-hop and breakbeat, @skrech_majstor_ljuban layers tunes from children’s songs to mutated rock over stumbling rhythms, treating it with both irreverence and affection.
With a bow to Talking Heads’ performances, live visuals set pokes at the gold fever of capitalism and the absurdity of corporate culture. Both funny and cynical, visuals simultaneously match Ljuban’s prankster’s agility and counter the lighthearted feel, playing on the idea of the forced cheerful conformity.
Curating hours of archival footage from 1920s to 80s, visual artist Angelina Toros assembles a patchwork narrative with big suits, crying boys and uncanny psychologists as characters, punching it down from a tongue-in-cheek joke to a bitter sting. 🏦

Not bound to one genre, Milibri blends nostalgic textures with modern production, moving through leftfield, trip-hop, ambient and breaks in a way that feels fluid.
Echoing that approach, visual artist Angelina Toros uses lo-fi 3D footage treated with analog filmic effects to build an immersive fantasy realm. Centered around the themes of water and myths, immersive visuals shift between dark and dreamy, dwelling in a fantasy realm. Layering fluid textures and blurs, live visuals resonate with the way Milibri mixes different tonal colours, chord characters and note combinations across registers, creating a hazy, electro-shoegaze-like space, where textures, blur and rhythms move softly beneath the soundscape.
On @fields.music day 2, Milibri shared a selection of tracks from her debut album Time Frames, released on the label South Space London, along with a few unreleased pieces that for now can only be heard in her live sets.

Tied to the release of a new album, Bortnique's performance at the Fields festival brings lyrical nostalgia disturbed by the sonic hysteria of glitches. In collaboration with visual artist Angelina Toros, the show evolved into an amusing, yet slightly unsettling narrative.
Echoing the use of retro phones/recorders and melancholic lyrics, the visual poetry combined aggressive recordings of analog feedback loops with slightly melancholic yet funny archival footage taken from the archives of Coronet Instructional Films dating back to the 50s.
We want to thank the Fields team for the opportunity to be part of such an amazing lineup and for making this collaboration possible!
