Right of Passage is the perfect song for just zoning out and getting lost in your thoughts. It’s a very vibey track, very lush, where organic elements take over the space. It starts with these hazy synth pads. I love the textural sound of that, feels like it wraps around you. Then those crystalline mallets pop in, layered over the pads and it brightens up the vibe even more. The progression is so smooth because of how naturally the new sounds settle in. It fills your body with a sense of flow. The mallets also shimmer into sounds which feel like watching ripples move across a body of water. It’s a very feel-sy track and as the track builds up, it keeps the calmness going and leaves you in a headspace which makes you feel grounded and completely free. . . . . . #tuesdaycatrecommends #fullmotiondisaster

I turn 37 today. Would’ve loved to play a birthday DJ set or something of the sort, but it wasn’t to be. So I settled for the next best thing within my realm of possibility - a 2 hour birthday mix. One take. 140-155 bpm. Hardgroove, Hard House, Eurodance, Trance, Ghetto House, Speed Garage Juke, all with an uplifting theme throughout the mix. Feel good vibes all around.  I’ve poured my heart and soul into every piece of art that I’ve worked on. This mix too, no less. I dedicate this mix to the very few people in my life who’ve shown me kindness and empathy and who believe in me as a human being and as an artist. And I’m so grateful they exist and continue to entertain my presence despite all my oddities and eccentricities. Thank you for existing in my life. My favorite kind of lofi house tunes are the ones that sound like they were made in a toaster oven :P Jokes aside, I love the genre so much. A good lofi house tune is the equivalent of a musical time capsule done right. It gives you an instant dose of nostalgia. A feeling as though you're momentarily trapped in a VHS tape, like a blast from the past. @filth.inc started out as a lofi house label after all, way back in early 2019. I will always have a soft spot for lofi house even though my label expanded to showcase many other genres over time. The Premiere for my upcoming single, 'Where There is a Will' is out now on @filth.inc I'd originally intended this track to be a summer Eurodance club tool in the same vein as tracks by DJ Heartstring & Marlon Hoffstadt, and it very much starts off as one, but around the halfway mark it progresses into an increasingly introspective piece of dance music. One that I'm very proud of. I'd produced this track during a very turbulent phase in my life and working on it has been a very cathartic experience.
