Bruno was “that guy” for me long before he was the guy on set.
New CoPro episode just dropped with Bruno Musso - the kid from New York street skating who helped launch Shut Skateboards, went on to run with Burton Snowboards, and now produces huge events like the Rockstar Energy Open for Rockstar Energy Drink.
One of my favorite Bruno stories goes back to France in the Burton days.
We’re in a tiny resort, it’s dumping snow, and we need a jump built before the sun comes out the next morning. The cat driver wants nothing to do with us.
Language barrier, attitude, the whole deal.
Bruno disappears into the lodge, comes back out with a pack of cigarettes, starts rapid-fire French with this guy... and ten minutes later the snowcat is cutting us the perfect jump. Athletes get their shots, we get the campaign, and I’m standing there thinking, “Oh, this is what a fixer looks like.”
That’s the thread through his whole career:
- Hustling boards with #shutnyc
- Traveling the world shooting with Burton
- Orchestrating chaos at a Rockstar skate event in front of 10,000 people
- The list goes on.....
He’s always the calm one who quietly makes impossible things happen.
