1409 Event Space is officially wrapped! I’ve spent the last 6 months fully engaged in the renovation & curation of this space-turning a blank canvas of a warehouse into a bespoke, interactive, funky, silly, shreddy, fully immersive environment. She clocks in over 5,000 sq/ft and includes a speakeasy, treehouse, native sound & lighting, a game room, custom murals / fine art / fabrication, multiple conference rooms and a variety of treasures. . I got to think of you, in ways that weren’t always important I gave you a place out there, and now… I can’t find you I don’t know if it was you or if it was me again It happened without noticing And now all I want is to look for you Because I can’t stand the longing I sing here, don’t pay attention to me Step by step, I will let you go In truth I expected something like this While we were close, everything was drifting apart Still the wind returned to us at times Like an injection that numbs you The wound continues to unravel and fester But I decorate it with paint And while the memory of you is melting I feel that something inside of me repeats you I thought you were always going to keep me company But you have your life and I have mine And even if this that I’m telling you is not important Stay this little while so I can sing to you xo Frozen . . At the end of last year, I was met with grief that was compounded with a loss of multitudes. Honestly, it was the hardest time of my adult life and I was absolutely destabilized. While I was moving through the darkness, a void opened up inside of me and I realized that this erosion of my foundation brought with it an opportunity to restructure my life in a way that was absolutely authentic and fundamental to my core. A seed was planted in that emptiness and very slowly, it began to grow. . Endless thanks to my beloved homies who held it down for me during that time.. Y’all are the absolute realest. If you’re reading this and you or a loved one are sifting through the darkness.. I hope that you’ll be inspired to reach out to your community, go on a walk, have a snack or a dinner with your buds, hit the dance floor, get out of bed... While I know that the healing process isn’t linear, I’m beyond grateful to be on the other side of this cliff.. stronger and more resilient than ever before .
