I love this poster, and I love the Laemmle. On April 30, I’ll be screening Come What May, the documentary I’ve worked on for nearly a decade, with special guests Dr. Drew and Maz Jobrani. #documentary #comedy #standupcomedy
Watching the Billy Joel doc on HBO takes me back to the stories of the 1970s Jersey/Long Island club scene, when Billy and Dee Snider were “regional acts.” 2013’s “We Are Twisted Fucking Sister” is such a great film because it’s as much about documenting that long-gone scene as it is the band. Pour one out for dear Andy Horn (not that Andy Horn), the director who passed away in 2019. He also directed the excellent Nomi Song in 2004. Very highly recommended viewing, all three! Of course your friend Frost designed the key art #movieposter #documentary #twistedsister @twistedsisterofficial
Good morning Internet! It’s my great pleasure to share my new key art for Come What May: The Larger Than Life Story of Ralphie May. It’s funny, deep, and dark, and an incredible accomplishment. Thanks @lahnaturnerr for including me on the team along with @iantarbert … Come What May is coming to your town. Tune into comewhatmayfilm.com for dates. #movieposter
My take on a well-trodden trope, “the alternative shadow.” I don’t think Warlock originated this but it’s the most famous example. In this film, Juliette Lewis changes places with a wooden chair.
Just realized I forgot to post this last year! A very cool doc by Toby Perl Freilich about public artist Mierle Laderman Ukeles, the New York City Sanitation Department’s artist-in-residence since 1977. Type inspired by the classic NYC garbage trucks. @jjmizrachy
Now available for pre-order! This doc (that I co-produced!) chronicles the Green Party campaign and win as city counselor of Burnaby, Canada, of Joey “Shithead” Keithley, better known as frontman for legendary punk band DOA. This could be you! Run! And as I always say: Thank a Canadian tax payer because their taxes actually go to arts education. We’ve always needed the talent they educate. Made by director of @saladdazed Scott Crawford. @appletv@mubi@amazon #thankcanada
New key art for Tia Lessin and Carl Deal’s doc on Democracy Now host and national treasure, Amy Goodman: Steal This Story, Please! Working on this meant a lot to me: Amy got me through 9/11 and my move out of NYC. Kept me connected to the city. The logo is inherited from Abbie Hoffman’s famous book cover. Check @stealthisstoryplease for dates and announcements. #movieposter
