46 Years ago today. The last photo of Ian Curtis.
This photograph, taken on the morning of Thursday, May 15th, 1980, at the ‘Photo Me’ booth in Woolworths Macclesfield, was to be used for Ian Curtis’ passport for Joy Division’s first US tour.

Just yesterday I posted a photo of myself watching Soulside who featured Scott McCloud on guitar. Scott and most of Soulside moved to New York and were really making name for themselves with their new band @girlsagainstboysofficial
The quartet was a 90s staple on the late night talk shows as well as MTV. They seemed unstoppable and I remember being so proud of them. Fast forward 30 years later and @scottdmccloud has recorded a solo album that hit me like an emotional freight train.
As a result, I directed the third video from his album, “Make it to Forever” and this is the single “Abandoned in Flames”…it’s raw, vulnerable, tuneful and some of his best work in years. It’s a song about looking back and wondering “what if”?
@brooklynvegan said this about the record: “finds him in brooding territory ala “Angels in Light”..”
This is a full circle moment for both of us. Those are few and far between in this life. So enjoy!
