I'm interested in running but wholly uninterested in thinness, whiteness, richness and winning - so, what else is left? I made a podcast with @cieleathletics to find out. Sports and running in particular have been a big part of my life but I've always found the media around it all to be, frankly, boring as fuck, not to mention exclusionary and one-dimensional. So, welcome to my weird little Toenails world that is created by and for people I love to think about, talk about and participate in running the way I want to. @marvindraws is a huge creative partner on this project. He has been a sounding board on the concept & direction as well as the creative visionary on the branding & design. He totally gets it and pushed it 200% on just this video and the cover art, we're just getting started but I'm so excited about what we're building together. @young.clancy made the custom music which is completely on point. @jthaylor has always bet on me so I'm stoked to be back in the Ciele universe with him, Dan & Mike.

We made a book! Thrilled to say I am the editor of @a24 ’s newly released book On Location in New York. Over a year of research, writing, editing, fact-checking, designing, and proof-reading, proof-reading and proof-reading went into this doozy of a book by a fantastic team. Truly so proud of what we made. Thank you to @gourmet___bathing @margaret__rhodes @elizadumais and the rest of the A24 team for their hard work in bringing this to life.

The Internet connected Coop (@hoodmidcenturymodern ) and I years ago when I still lived in Toronto and we've orbited each other ever since. It was a pleasure to reconnect with him for @vowels.official References series to talk about his Hood Century project, his love of drawing, and the Faith Ringgold book that stuck with him since childhood. I loved learning about @luluyaogioiello 's upbringing and approach to creating the @far___near books. As a fellow mixed person, I especially found it heartening to hear how her mixedness informed her desire to complicate the Western monolithic view of Asia. Working at Vice throughout my 20s meant that @brandonjinx , a mainstay at Complex, was always in my periphery. So when @charlys_theron told us Jinx was booked for our References series I was both excited and a little nervous. Would he be comfortable being the subject instead of the interviewer? Would he be too cool to be open up? While I think the full episode (on @vowels.official page) speaks for itself, I'm happy to report that Jinx is warm, thoughtful, silly and a total nerd. A great combination. Interviewing is always interesting but it's not always this fun. Enjoy :)
