Another loop around the sun! Lots of big things shifted in the last 7 months and life has taken me through a whirlwind of emotions and adventures. Still, I’m endlessly grateful for all it has to offer.

More aware of my mistakes, limitations and complexities of life. Out here learning and unlearning, trying to slow down, other times hitting full throttle on the gas, switching lanes midway, but still giving myself the grace to welcome all these transitions with love.

This past summer I had the opportunity to participate in a group fashion show presented by @frank_sanfam x @missionpraxis x @dyingbreedsf x @mcclasf We were asked to create custom pieces that were our personal interpretations of the rich culture and fashion in the Mission District from past to present. Not gonna lie, I almost tapped out of this project because I was so intimated by the quick turnaround timeline and I overwhelmed myself with ideas lol…but I’m extremely grateful for @frank_sanfam and @missionpraxis relentless support and guidance along the way 🥹🙏🏽😅

Through this project I learned to sew for the first time ever, thanks to @missionpraxis and her patience to show me while navigating 1001 things on her to do list. I connected with several different talented artists from the community, and even had the opportunity to photograph several of the looks created for our look book. The experience was priceless to say the least and the fashion show was fly af.
