Stills from an upcoming short film titled 'Crow' by @numerafilms . The first photo are (L-R) Aidan Laudersmith as Augustus, Alice Wordsworth as Lauren and Griffin Kingston as Richard in a birdwatching scene. The scene in the second photo was fascinating to take photos of as the camera eye detection software in my camera was stuck to the crow mask's eye for most of the time. I had an older generation mirrorless camera prior and the difference in autofocus was noticeable. Cast behind-the-scenes photos for "Two Old Men Play A Game Of Cribbage" by @c.s.gomez . Robert Steele plays Eugene with Shea Johnston as Jeff, Eugene's grandson. Both occasions were captured during pauses between takes. For the first photo, Robert was looking directly at my camera. As for the second photo, I stood next to the camera crew, near a wall that was recessed. The black strip you see on the side of the photo is actually a part of that wall. A couple of stills from "Two Old Men Play A Game Of Cribbage" by @c.s.gomez . I was glad to join my peers again on another short film, although I was on set for just half a day. Seeing Jan again was great, as the last time we met in-person was in film school years ago. The set was a treat to photograph thanks to the beautiful production design by @morganbreannehanson , who was also responsible for taking behind-the-scenes photos! One of the projects that was screened on the 2022 SAIT film festival was 'Your Good Friend'. Directed by @alexis_img , it is a documentary that follows Jean Macapinlac’s experience with tattoo artists in the industry as a customer, and as a tattoo artist themselves. We had a dedicated stills photographer for this project but Mikayla / @mik.knapp (Key Grip) and I (Script Supervisor) decided to bring our film cameras anyways; her trusty Pentax KM and my Ricohflex Diacord G. As I was playing with film stocks, I had the Fujifilm Provia 100F on my camera with the aperture wide open at f/3.5. While it produced nice transparencies, I was barely keeping it in focus as on the first picture. The latter is a group image of Jasmine / @jaz.aiken (1st Assistant Director), Andy / @andyburnell (Location Sound Mixer) and Mikayla. They are all very lovely people and a real pleasure to work with on a film set. On the second picture, we had to stand where the light beam was so as to have enough light for the film. I also lost the slides so these are the only scans I have of that roll. Behind the scenes for 'Pool Party'! I was so happy to work with @xelabuchanan on a film set again! She helped me come up with poster ideas and pose the cast for stills while I show her set photos if she needs it for continuity. And also a big thank you to @jenna_turkeegh for being patient with me. With helping me introduce myself to the cast, coordinating on the logistics in getting stills, to making sure I was present in capturing key moments in the course of the production.
