After a packed first edition, Friction returns with a new chapter. This time on June 5th, the focus shifts toward collaboration and movement- b2b sets, shared energy, and a dancefloor that builds through interaction rather than isolation. The lineup brings together some of the strongest voices in Vancouver’s underground techno scene, navigating between hypnotic soundscapes, driving percussion and unexpected turns. Expect sets that stretch, overlap and evolve in real time, with visuals by Laine Butler adding another layer to the immersive environment. On Friday April 3rd Friction lands at the Deli for a night of deep, immersive dancefloor storytelling. The night brings together a lineup of artists shaping Vancouver’s underground through different shades of driving, atmospheric and textured techno. The evening unfolds gradually- moving from spacious openings into deeper, more tripped out sounds as the room settles into a steady rhythm. AWood brings their powerful and expressive presence behind the decks, shaped by years of experience across festivals and underground spaces. Kish leans into hypnotic and deep techno, crafting immersive sets built around deep low-ends and layered textures. MiiiW explores raw and experimental sounds, blending hypnotic grooves with ambient and tribal textures. Untorn shares her unwavering passion for techno through a sonic exploration of energy and emotion.
