2024 vs 2025
The first set of clips are from May 2024 and the rest Nov 2025. I cut off all the colour eventually and started from scratch highlighting it again after.
My current length feels like it could be a year’s worth of progress, maybe. I cut it so much it’s kind of hard to tell, but it’s always much easier to really see the growth when my hair is wet 😂
I tried the Bounce Curl Slick-Flex Define brush and this feels like finger raking but quicker
I’ve had the original Bounce Curl brush since launch and loved the results, but because it’s a styling brush rather than a detangling brush, it often feels like an extra step on top of everything else.
The teeth on this version do feel gentler with less tension, so if you have fragile hair, shorter curls or are trying to minimise breakage, this might be a better option.
I feel like it kind of combines what I like about the tangle teezer (v flexible teeth) with the sides which really effectively clump the curls together. It almost mimics how I naturally rake product through my hair when I use my fingers.
I’m still testing it and I haven’t quite figured out how to make it work as well on the looser sections at the front of my hair, but first impressions are good
This was meant to look more aesthetically pleasing but I was too ready to dive into bed 😂

A very simple setup I use when I’m filming with my iPhone in my bathroom
Natural light really does what it wants but I like that it can produce different results depending on how sunny it is and the time of day
I tend to keep the suction mount in the same place but sometimes switch up the angle just for a little variety honestly
This month marks 10 years natural
I cut off my relaxed ends in May 2016 and I remember being immediately daunted by my curls. I’d never actually had curly hair during my adult life so figuring out what worked was a bit of a slow and confusing process. Since my hair has been long, short, coloured, shed to the point of bald spots, and it’s grown back again.
Throughout that I think the biggest shift for me has been learning to really listen to my hair. I experiment when it makes sense, but I don’t force my hair to be something it isn’t. I’ve also become really comfortable with a wash and go and staying consistent with a routine. It does get boring at times, but it has helped my hair thrive especially when growing it out.
I could have never guessed 10 years ago I’d start over again with short hair, that transition from relaxed to natural was so painful 😂. The grow out again wasn’t much better but I’m almost back where I started all that time ago. The fun part this time at least is that the guesswork is gone and I understand my hair so much better than I did before.
Soft and glowy using newness from @diorbeauty [gifting]
Dior packaging never misses, especially with the limited editions. The bronzer is so pretty on the skin with a subtle glow, the maximiser leans a little more sparkly than I expected, and the glass lipstick is probably my favourite of the 3. It’s glossy, slightly more saturated than the OG balms but still just as easy to wear
