It’s hard to believe we’re more than 10 years in; our halfway point marked by a life-altering pandemic. The support that all of you give Fred’s and the recognition from @michelinguide that good food could be messy and leave you with garlic breath and require a stack of napkins is what got us through and carries us onward! Fred’s just takes me there…I’ve never been so in love with a cheeseburger in my life!! 😩😍 Have you ever had a Burger Stack before??? People try to hate on it and I think the reason is because some folk are fans of lettuce and tomato and extras on their cheeseburger. 🫤 At Fred’s Meat & Bread, burgers are basic and reign supreme (cheesesteaks are cool too), and food bloggers kneel as if it’s a cheesy coronation! 🍔👑😂

Chicken & Pepperoni Parm and Eggplant Parm are back! We were inspired to add the pepperoni to the chicken parm by one of co-owner Ben’s staple meals from his days in Ann Arbor at @uofmichigan — the Chicken Pepperoni at now defunct Taste of Italy. “The burger stack at Fred’s is the perfect burger stack. The cheese is so well-melted, it almost feels like a grilled cheese with meat inside it. Everything is so perfectly griddled and blended together, and the pickles give it some acid, and sesame seed bun is delicious and greasy, and eating it makes me feel more American and more handsome and like I could re-take the SAT IIs and do slightly better in verbal. It is the best burger in Atlanta.”
