And that’s a wrap on the 2026 rebuilt season! Our team finished 7th in our division and won the Innovation in Control Award for the third time. We ended ranked 97th in the world out of over 3700 teams, which is the best our team has ever ranked at Worlds.
We especially want to recognize our seniors for their dedication to the team over the years. A huge reason we got as far as we did was because of the effort and leadership they gave to the team. It is hard to imagine the team without them, and next season is definitely going to be a big change. Regardless, we hope to make them proud in the upcoming years.
This was still a full team effort though. Every subteam and every role made a difference, and a lot of the underclassmen really stepped when the team needed them most.
After not ending up at worlds last year, we came back and showed that Peninsula Robotics belongs there every year. Our team changed a lot this season, and it raised the standard for future seasons by proving what we are capable of.
We are so proud to announce that we have officially qualified for the FIRST Championship after our strong performance at DCMP! We ranked 4th out of 60 of the best NorCal teams and can’t wait to see what we are capable of at Worlds. Our team was the captain for Alliance 3, and made it to Round 4 of the double elimination bracket. We had a great time competing with our alliance partners @team5940 and @fremonthighrobotics !
We also won the Innovation in Control Award for our second competition in a row. As for district points, we earned 138 from DCMP and finished with 256 total district points. This has placed us 11th in the California district point system overall. As always, we could not have done this without the support of our dedicated mentors, parents, and student-leadership team.
After not qualifying for Worlds last year, our team has come back stronger than ever, and we are coming after two blue banners in Houston! We hope to see you all there! 💙💙
This past weekend, our team competed at the Glendale District event. We had an extremely strong start, finishing qualification matches ranked first overall. As captain of Alliance 1, we advanced all the way to the finals alongside our amazing partners @ironpanthers and @hypernovafrc !
We’re incredibly proud to have earned the Innovation in Control Award, and even more excited that our performance has officially qualified us for the California Northern State Championship!
As always, we sincerely thank our dedicated mentors and chaperones for their continued support. We’re also excited to welcome our new board members who have generously stepped forward to help lead and support the team moving forward.
We hope to see you all at NorCal Districts!
Our team was thrilled to win the Excellence in Engineering Award down in Ventura 2026! Thank you to everyone who scouted, our pit crew, drive team, and everyone supporting behind the scenes. A sincere thank you to all of our parents and mentors, we would not have made it this far without you. This first competition of the season required the entire team to work together and no role went unappreciated. A big thank you to our alliance partners @frc_7415 and @gunnrobotics192 for some great matches!
While our ranking after qualification matches was not what we had anticipated, our team really made a comeback during playoffs. We made it all the way to the finals and were able to help our alliance score many points during eliminations. We also earned a significant amount of district points, which is a strong start to our season ahead.
Our team is currently ranked 93rd in the world, but still have some improvements to make before the next competition. Let’s keep up the hard work and come back even stronger. We’re coming for the banner at Glendale!
We are incredibly grateful to Framework for sponsoring our team! We use Framework to power our driver station laptops, running all of our apps and critical displays so that our drivers are always aware of everything happening during a match. In our lab space, we rely on our Framework desktop for 3D printing, CAD, and CAM to design and machine parts, aiding us in the process of fabrication. Thank you @frameworkcomputer for supporting our team!
This past month, we kicked off our Tool Skills and Safety Training for all of our team members. New recruits and veterans came together to participate in a 2 day, 6 hour training consisting of several modules, each going over foundational skills such as measuring, wood, aluminum, electrical, and vision.
Through this training, we’ve already seen a huge boost in knowledge, confidence, and engagement across our team members. A total of 50+ students have been fully certified, so thank you to everyone who attended. Your effort now will pay off as our main season approaches! In the next few weeks we will conclude the training for everyone who has yet to complete it through make-up sessions.
A special thank you to our Safety Captain, Aarushi Shukla, and mentor Andrew Hodge for organizing this training, as well as the team of mentors and veterans who helped bring the training to life!
Our team had an amazing time at CalGames 2025! Thank you to our alliance partners @frcteam6962 and @team1967 for some great matches!
We’re proud of our underclassmen for taking initiative during this competition and ultimately making it to the semifinals and placing third overall! We’re grateful for the experience, and excited to keep improving.
A special thanks to all of our amazing parents and mentors for all of the support!
One of the biggest ways we raise funds for our team is through our classes. This fall, we’re excited to host Programming (Sept 30–Nov 18, Tuesdays) and CAD (Oct 1–Nov 20, Thursdays) classes for 6th–8th graders in Palo Alto, and we’d love your help spreading the word. Please share the flyer and the message below with parents and friends who may be interested:
Signups for Peninsula Robotics Academy’s 8-week Fall Robotics Classes in Programming and CAD will be closing on September 28. Taught by mentors from a top FRC team, students will gain real coding and design experience through hands-on, project-based learning. Each class is limited to 24 students, so sign up soon before spots run out. See the attached flyer for full details and registration.
