Lately, it feels like every headline about New Orleans is asking whether this city has a future.
We disagree.
Join The Water Collaborative and @glasshalffull.co for âWeâre Not Leaving,â a Dance & Dissent Party bringing together community, conversation, music, and collective joy in the face of climate anxiety, political uncertainty, and the nonstop doomscroll cycle.

I have more thoughts⌠maybe I will share soon but for now can we stop with the doom and gloom please. That literally gets us nowhere. Thereâs not gonna be anywhere safe from climate change with the path weâre on. Stop telling us to move and letâs talk about implementing real solutions.
Our co-founder & CEO, Franziska, spoke on the main stage at GulfCon this week! She shares how Glass Half Fullâs vision has shifted over the years to include Gulf Coast and even national expansion. Thank you @gulfofamericaalliance for organizing the conference and panel!
What if waste wasnât the end⌠but the beginning of restoration?
As coastal ecosystems continue to disappearâand with them, their ability to protect usânew ways of thinking are emerging. Like the one from Franziska Trautmann, who saw in something as ordinary as glass an opportunity to restore what weâre losing.
Through Glass Half Full, discarded bottles are transformed into sand used to rebuild wetlands, protect coastlines, and strengthen communities against disasters.
This isnât just recyclingâitâs redefining waste, design, and impact.
Because sometimes innovation isnât about creating something newâ
but about seeing what already exists⌠differently.
Waste is not the end of a story.
Itâs a design failure waiting to be reimagined. đ
Itâs finally here!!! The smoky mountain relay recap that nobody asked for đĽł
Huge shoutout to @thestrideshop for getting this team together and @drinkfktea for keeping us awake
Would you ever run a 200 mile relay race?!
My first leg of this 200+ mile relay race in the smoky mountains! I had 8 miles which seemed fine til I saw these mountains đŤŁ
If you need me, Iâll be in a van in the mountains for the next 20+ hours til we finish!
Happy earth day from some of the newest land on earth đ out here in Bayou Bienvenue. We planted marsh grasses and trees on our two new islands about a month and a half ago and theyâre already looking great!
