Pagecast is coming to you live from the Franschhoek Literary Festival.📚 Rémy Ngamije's new book is Only Stars Know, a collection of short stories that explore love, loss, identity, and human connection, centred on the life of an aspiring writer. Get your copy at @exclusivebooks at the Franschhoek Town Hall! Rémy Ngamije is a Rwandan-born Namibian writer and photographer. In conversation with Wamuwi Mbao, columnist for Business Day's Wanted magazine, SALA-winning literary critic for the Johannesburg Review of Books, and lecturer in English Studies at Stellenbosch University. Conrad and I are talking about our recent “Bitterkomix Journals and Sketchbooks” (published by @painted_dog_press ) at the Franschhoek Literary Festival on Saturday 16 May 2026 @11 :30. Herewith a selection from the book: first two images from my Journal no.9 in 2006, the other four from a 2024 sketchbook. Unfortunately the event is already sold out... “Bitterkomix Journals and Sketchbooks” distributed by @flyleaf_publishing_sa . Get a copy asap - I cannot think of another art book published in SA recently that gives you this much bang for your buck (as they say)... With 1075 images, an essay by Sean O’Toole and an interview with Tudor Caradoc-Davies. 212 pages, 28 x 26 cm in full colour. @conradbotess #bitterkomix @bitterkomix #antonkannemeyer #flyleafbooks #painteddogpublishing @franlitfest #southafricancomics
