Frank (@frankmorrison ) and Tyreek (@moneyteam ) Morrison are bringing a father-son dialogue to @aldayhunkengallery for Future Fair 2026 at Booth U11. The duo exhibition explores what it looks like to pass down a craft while carving out a separate lane, leaning into the tension between inheritance and personal style. Frank’s work is rooted in a heavy, figurative narrative built from years of lived experience, while Tyreek moves into a more atmospheric, suspended register. The installation sees how two different generations process the same social and emotional histories through paint. On view through May 16 at Future Fair on 535 W 28th St in NYC.

Alday Hunken Gallery is pleased to present a father and son exhibition by Frank Morrison @frankmorrison and Tyreek Morrison @moneyteam at Future Fair, Booth U11. Bringing together painting and collage, the exhibition explores Afrofuturism through a cross-generational dialogue shaped by movement, memory, music, and reconstruction. While Frank Morrison amplifies Black narratives through his iconic figurative language rooted in street culture and social realism, Tyreek Morrison approaches the image through layered compositions built from fragments of Atlanta’s visual landscape. Alday Hunken is pleased to present Present Future at @futurefairs New York, featuring works by Frank Morrison and Tyreek Morrison. Frank paints from memory. Tyreek paints across time. Together the booth becomes a generational conversation rendered in two distinct visual languages, drawn from a shared inheritance. The work asks what it means to receive a creative impulse and then make it entirely your own. We invite you to visit us at Booth U11. In the studio with @frankmorrison ahead of @futurefairs Frank paints from memory. The Star Wars helmet, the army men, the smoke bomb. The objects of a childhood become the vocabulary of a practice. He calls it reminiscing. It functions as archive. Graffiti runs through the work, not as decoration but as lineage. Frank is explicit about it. He is not the first to paint mannerism. He is not the first to bring graffiti onto canvas. The acknowledgement of that lineage is the discipline. Tyreek works from the present. Frank works from the past. The booth holds both registers at once. Father and son, two distinct visual languages drawn from a shared inheritance. The work asks what it means to receive a creative impulse and then make it entirely your own. Present Future. Booth U11. FRANK MORRISON FUTURE PRESENT FUTURE ART FAIR VIP PREVIEW MAY 13 PUBLIC DAYS MAY 14-16, 2026 CHELSEA INDUSTRIAL 535W 28th St NEW YORK CITY Frank Morrison is widely recognized for his dynamic fusion of street culture and classical technique. Emerging from graffiti and hip-hop traditions, he developed a distinctive figurative language that blends elements of urban Mannerism and social realism with the visual vocabulary of everyday life. His work amplifies often overlooked Black narratives through scenes imbued with movement, music, and resilience. Morrison has illustrated more than thirty-five books and received numerous honors, including multiple Coretta Scott King Illustrator Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and Golden Kite Awards Society of Illustrators awards establishing him as a major voice in contemporary African American visual storytelling. In dialogue with this legacy, Tyreek Morrison approaches the image through collage. Working with fragments of paper and found materials, his compositions construct layered narratives that weave together fashion, music, and the visual language of Atlanta’s cultural landscape. His practice transforms fragmentation into a metaphor for history itself bringing past and present into the same visual field while imagining alternative futures. Together, their works form a generational exchange: painting and collage, figuration and reconstruction, inheritance and reinvention. Through their respective lenses, community emerges not as speculation about the future, but as an active, living dialogue shaped by memory, lineage, and possibility. artfair #brooklyn #soho #artweek #art @moneyteam @futurefairs @aldayhunkengallery

Opening next month, our booth at Future Fair New York will present a generational dialogue between Frank Morrison @frankmorrison and Tyreek Morrison @moneyteam , exploring figuration through painting and collage as parallel strategies of image-making. — Frank Morrison’s work draws from street culture and classical technique, developing a distinctive visual language shaped by urban Mannerism and social realism. His compositions center movement, rhythm, and resilience, amplifying Black narratives through scenes grounded in everyday life. In dialogue, Tyreek Morrison constructs images through collage, assembling fragments of paper and found materials into layered compositions that reflect the visual and cultural landscape of Atlanta. His work treats fragmentation as both method and metaphor—bringing past and present into a shared visual field while projecting alternative futures. — Together, their practices articulate a generational exchange: painting and collage, figuration and reconstruction, inheritance and reinvention. Community emerges here not as projection, but as an active, lived condition shaped by memory, lineage, and possibility. — Future Fair New York 📍 Booth U11 📍 Chelsea Industrial 📅 May 12-17 —
