When I look back on everything I’ve experienced in 365 days, it just feels so unreal and more like a few lifetimes. All the places, dishes and people I’ve spent time with around the world is magical and I couldn’t do it without all of your support in various ways that allows me to live this crazy life. For that, I am forever grateful to all of you.
I want to remind everyone that this is just a highlight reel, like everyone else on this damn thing. Don’t let anyone fool you or make you believe your life is less worthy in any way. Look at my dumb ass sitting on this rock during sunrise in Rio,Brazil taking in the beauty during a uniquely satisfying moment. Not every day is this good, I assure you.
Like many others out there I stress, worry, burn out and suffer from clinical depression and anxiety I have to battle with every day. If I can use this space to say anything while I have your attention, it’s to go into every encounter with as much compassion and understanding as possible. You never know what’s going on inside another persons head, but as a high functioning weirdo, I know I’m not alone in the existential struggle that we mask with a smile and cordial greetings. I care for all you over-thinkers, because I’m right there with you.
Tonight, I get to perform some music with some of my LA brothers and heroes for charity, and playing music with friends is the best gift I can think of. Be excellent to each other, and sincere thanks for following my journey. I love you all 🖤

2025 was a trip! Thank you all for being part of this insane ride -10 full days in the air!? I’ve been living life way faster than I can possibly share it on here, but please know that I have never felt more grateful to have this life, and all the plot twists and unbelievable experiences the greatest stories come with. ❤️
That said, here’s a couple snaps I grabbed along my way. I’m looking forward to slowing down a bit in 2026, and focusing on some things. If my spiritual adventure taught me anything, it’s to be more present and concentrated than ever in a world that favors constant mediocre distraction.
I’m not going to point fingers, but one of us ate all the popcorn!!
I finally had the pleasure to visit Chai Lai Orchid Elephant Sanctuary in the mountains of northern Thailand recently. It seems perfect to share this experience for ‘Wildlife Conservation Day’, because this ethical sanctuary has saved 22 beautiful elephants and not only care for them 24/7, but every bit of the experience goes back to building their community of the Pga k’ nyau indigenous people. All indigenous managed and employed, locally sourced food, local shops, all while caring for these endangered gentle vegan friends of mine in their natural jungle habitat.
Wildlife Conservation Day might not be on the federal calendar, but it’s a far more important message to me than any celebrated holiday. So please just for a moment, imagine your whole species was being tortured and killed to the brim of extinction by a higher power that doesn’t understand you, and give some love to those without a voice. Support a sanctuary or animal welfare group that speaks to your heart. There are groups doing amazing work out there!
To attend the greatest heavy metal event in history, to honor pioneers and icons that changed our world, to cherish everything that’s spawned since, to celebrate our unique community of metalheads from around the planet and run into so many friends… it was fucking beautiful in every conceivable way. What an unforgettable and poetic event that was more like an entire hesher week of no sleep full throttle.
I couldn’t be more stoked for every damn artist that performed. Everyone was PUMPED and killed it.

We are living in the biggest cultural moment our genre has ever known, and even though absolutely crushing, is beautiful beyond words.
