May Bank Holiday weekend can mean only one thing…Ixworth town centre races, organised by the West Suffolk Wheelers.
With the National Circuit Race Series on the horizon Franks’ focus has been on the shorter races and he showed that he is on track with a superb sprint win at Ixworth to retain the victors laurels from 2025.
Frank and Cai lined up against a strong field which included crit specialists Tekkerz. The short tight Ixworth circuit promotes attacking racing and despite a late lone effort from Cai, the race was all together into the final lap. Frank hit the front into the last two tight bends and this gave no opportunities to catch him in the short finish straight as he crossed the line to take an excellent, well deserved win.
With Cai finishing in 10th place after his late attack👍🏼

Opening weekend of the UK calendar saw the perfect start for the team. A win for @michaelgill1306 on Saturday at Darley Moor (organised by @hausraceteam ), second place for @jordanjgiles in the Royal Navy Cup and fourth for @piersmahn at the Evesham Vale RR 👏🏻
But the icing on the cake was a 1-2 at the 42nd Jock Wadley Memorial Race ⭐
The Jock Wadley is the team’s local race and a win for the team has eluded us for 15 years. A well executed pre-race plan orchestrated by Frank Longstaff saw the team bring back a late break in the final lap. With the perfect lead out by Frank in the final 300 metres, teammate Olly Curd was able to come off his wheel for an amazing 1-2.
Everyone played their role in delivering the win in what was an outstanding team performance!
Peaks 2 Day is next on the calendar, good luck lads 🧡

@frank_longstaff emerged as the overall winner at the South London GP, delivering not only raw strength but also sharp tactical nous to control the racing at Herne Hill throughout the weekend. His ability to read the race and execute at the decisive moments underlined why he continues to set the standard at this level. Behind him, @logan_mac1 stepped up when it mattered most, digging deep and showing the remarkable ability to suffer and still come out on top when the pressure was at its highest. Rounding out the podium, @onj125 held firm for a hard-fought third. Across both days, the South London GP at @hernehillvelodrome offered a showcase of first-class racing, with intensity and quality that left no doubt about the depth of talent on display.

@frank_longstaff delivered another dominant performance yesterday, taking victories in both the Men’s Elimination and the Men’s Scratch race at the @hernehillvelodrome South London GP. In each event, teammates @willrperrett and @logan_mac1 secured podium spots, giving the team a clean sweep.
Racing against a deep and competitive field, Frank once again underlined his class and speed on the track.
