I’m the founder and CEO of @vyraoworld We create extraordinarily beautiful fragrances that are also tools for wellbeing, designed to alter mood, emotion and vibration. I’m also trained in energetic healing and holistic practices, I’m a mother to two wonderful boys, and I’m a woman. What is your star sign/human design? Aquarius sun, Aries rising, Libra moon. Thank god for the Aries otherwise I’d just float away. And I’m a Generator (which I’m not happy about). What are you working on right now? A whole bunch of magic things, potions and products. I’m also running my company, which requires a completely different mindset. I feel like I shift between business and beauty throughout the day. And I’m always working on myself. What is your current obsession? My boys, including my dog. The Euphorbia exploding out onto the street from my front garden. @kylacobblercomedy Our trainer @jordanhollandfitness The smell of roses, the smell of latex, dusk… and Love. Three things that inspire you? @zachbushmd @rickrubin - we should all read The Creative Act. And my grandmother Georgette, who lived a truly high vibration life without even realising it. My goal is to become a much-loved grandmother. Biggest risk you ever took? Leaving school at 15 because I knew the environment wasn’t right for me. It led me to the best education I could have had. I’ve learned to remove myself from situations that don’t feel aligned, even when it’s harder. Somehow it pays off in the end. One piece of advice? Watch for the signs. They are everywhere. Cancer. What an absolute fucker. I doubt anyone reading this has escaped the deep impact this disease has whether you are a sufferer or a witness, it takes so much. I lost my Dad, Robert, to cancer. This month marks 34 years - so much life lived without him. He was my age now when he died which puts a whole new lens on all of it. You never really get over losing someone you love; you adapt and reshape so the pain feels less painful but its always there, just below the surface. I’m sharing this because today we are saying goodbye to another wonderful Robert lost to Cancer. My relationship to this Robert was small but so mighty. My dear friend’s husband. I remember hugging her the day he was diagnosed, crying silent tears in our office corridor. He got to live a lot of life since then and for all that he was going through, he was a light for me during some of the darkest days of my adult life and his incredible compassion, generosity and understanding leave a big impact on me forever. The last time I ran a half marathon, I was raising money for the charity he introduced me to-a charity who were instrumental in saving my brother’s life. This time I am running for @maggiescentres I was introduced to Maggie’s by Robert’s wife. My dear friend. It has been as invaluable to her as she has been to me. We can’t underestimate the importance of knowing there is always somewhere to go and someone to turn to when we are on our knees, and Maggie’s is that somewhere. If you are living with cancer in your life then you understand the messy complicated painful unpredictable journey of all if it. I’m running for you ❤️ I’m running for my friend. I’m running for her Robert and my Robert and for those left behind. If you don’t know @maggiescentres then check it out. It’s important work.
