I made a feature film at 24.
I don’t think I was ready for it. I just didn’t know how to wait.
After graduating, I spent a long time trying to find my way onto bigger sets, bigger films. It took longer than I expected, and somewhere along the way, I realised I’m not someone who can sit around waiting for life to happen.
So I came back home to Pune and started making something of my own.
This film is about my family. About grief, silence, and the things we learn to live with but rarely speak about.
But what stayed with me most was the process itself. The people who believed in the film, who showed up, who stayed.
I definitely didn’t do this alone. Huge shoutout to Jayshankar Ramu editor, co-producer, and confidante through it all.
Can’t wait to share this film with you at a festival near you. 🧿 ❤️

For the longest time, Udgam existed only within me, in memories, silences, conversations, and grief I didn’t always know how to speak about.
Today, my team and I proudly present the first poster of our film.
Made independently with a small team and a lot of love, Udgam is a deeply personal journey through family, loss, memory, and the quiet emotional worlds we carry within us.

Aryaki carried sheer focus and creative clarity through every setup — as Associate DP & Gaffer, she was a powerhouse on set. We’re all excited to see her work light up the screen in the future. No doubt she’s a promising DP in the making .
