Stills | Pomo D'Orographies by Francesca Paola Beltrame | Italy, 2025, 00:07:49 Screening - 16 May 2026, 20:00 | Workshop - 16 May 2026, 16:30 | more info: www.artfilmvienna.art Pomo D’Orographies is a short film that exposes the connection of migration and trade of canned tomatoes between Italy and Ghana. The film layers animations and intimate conversations, to shed light on the multiple lifeworlds nestled within the tomato, threading its colonial roots to its neo-colonial present. The supply chain is disrupted and narrated in a non-linear manner, by using collective cooking and embroidery of an inherited tablecloth, as a way to uncover policy changes, archive and honor voices, realities and histories that counter italian nationalistic narratives around food. Francesca Paola Beltrame (Italy) • will be screening as part of our evening of international artist film MICROACTS: IN A CURIOUS PLACE, Friday 12th December, 2025, 7pm @vfdalston@fpbarch • Film: ‘Pomo D’Orographies’ I am an artist, researcher and architect from Rome. My practice elaborates on the idea of Potential Histories (Azoulay, 2019), where the past is not a cemented narrative but a space of possibility, repair and refusal. I employ a spatial lens to investigate the colonial legacies embedded within Italian cultures and landscapes, where through performance, video and installation I weave alternative methods of relation and collective counter-cartographies. My recent research has been focusing on migration and the weaponization of borders in the Mediterranean context. I hold an MA in Architecture from the Royal College of Art. I pursue my research both independently and as part of the artist duo DONLON. I was a LINA Fellow for 2022–2023, an EU-funded program supporting emerging practitioners. My recent works have been exhibited in Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Malta.

This week Pomo D'Orographies is showing at @asffestival @aestheticamag in the category Artists' Film !!!! The signatures in the video are embroideries on an inherited tablecloth that I used during my research to archive stories and voices from conversations around agro-mafias and migration in the mediterranean, 'Il diritto vale per tutti' Rights apply to everyone, is my favorite signature by Musse from Diritti A Sud, the right to dignity, shelter, work and care belongs to everyone beyond borders. timetable on second slide 5-6-8 of November I will be there on Saturday at @yorktheatreroyal any friend also going ? x lets hang out
