We wholeheartedly support those who are or will be participating in the nationwide strike today. We stand with our community and seek justice.
We encourage those who will be participating to support small and local businesses, refrain from shopping at large corporations, and to make cash purchases only today.
Justice for Alex Pretti. Justice for Renee Good. Justice for immigrants. Justice for all.
We wish you all a safe day.
HOLY Shit! You won’t belive what happened today to your favorite little dive bar with a fancy-pants cocktail problem!?!
I WAS NAMED TO BEST NEW BAR LIST AS 2026 JAMES BEARD AWARD SEMIFINALISTS.
The little bar in Vancouver WA thats been around since the 70’s is feeling all growed up. We opened on July 4th, and now eight short months later, here we are. I guess that our love of fresh juice, spinning vinyl and delicious grilled cheeses and tots have made an impression on the big city muckity-mucks. We appreciate it monumentally and will chippy you a kiss next time yer in.
I’m here at 1800 Broadway Street, Vancouver, WA, and open daily, Mon-Wed. 4-10 PM; Thursday, 4 PM-Midnight; Fri-Sat, 4 PM-2 AM, and Sunday, 11 AM-10 PM. Visit or for details and to view menus.

A year ago today, we lost Fox’s in the Altadena/Pasadena Eaton Fire. Originally opened by Paul and Eddie Fox in 1947, Fox’s was a cherished staple for the Altadena community.
We miss that community and little restaurant every day, and wish only the best for everyone who had loss from these fires. We love and miss you all. And in return, we thank you for your continuous love and support. Come by @cindyseaglerock and @littlebeastrestaurant for some familiar faces, we’d love to see you.
1947-2025❤️
A tremendous thank you to @juliawolinsky.art for creating this beautiful artwork of Fox’s, and allowing us to share it here with the community.
We are incredibly grateful for the continued thoughtfulness of our friends and neighbors.

Artist and Altadena resident Austin Scott has created an image called “Altadena Forever.” The father of three hopes to put a spotlight on the many local establishments in the neighborhood that have been struggling since the Eaton Fire. ❤️ #altadenaforever #eatonfire #altadena #neighborhood #artist #austinscott #dad #family #community #smallbusinesses #localnews #support #happiness #neighbors #rebuilding #smile @austinscott@altadenaisforever@marcoontheweb@thesongwritingdad@unincorporatedcoffee@sidepie_@foxsaltadena@thebunnymuseum@altadena_hardware
For 67 years, Fox’s in Altadena was more than a restaurant, it was a locus for community connection. Opened in 1947 by Paul and Edie Fox out of a house, it was run by their son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Lorraine, for more than 50 years. In 2017, Monique King and her husband, Paul Rosenbluh, acquired the business.
That all went up in flames in the Eaton Fire.
Now, Monique and Paul are working to employ their 15-person-staff at their other restaurants, @cindyseaglerock and @littlebeastrestaurant , both in Eagle Rock. They also established a crowd-funding campaign to raise money for their employees.

Thank you @kcrwgoodfood for the truly wonderful piece. Although it has been more than a month since the fires took place, the efforts to collectively rebuild prevail. ❤️🩹

We are continuing to raise funds to provide aid to our staff to help them rebuild their lives in the wake of this devastation. 100% of the funds raised via this GoFundMe will be allocated to each member of the Fox’s staff. To learn more, share, and donate please visit the links in our bio.
Posted @withregram • @littlebeastrestaurant Thank you, @canvasrebel for the wonderful article and conversation on family businesses.
Monique King reflects on her professional background in a continuously evolving culinary scene, the significance of community and family in meaningful workplace dynamics, and the philosophy she shares with her husband, Paul Rosenbluh, which has upheld and defined their family-owned restaurants throughout many successful years.
“We take everything each day at a time. Every day brings something new, and we have to roll with it. We love being a family business because it allows us to do the right thing.” - Monique

Posted @withregram • @kcalnews A 525-pound bear in his crawl space wasn’t a guest that Samy Arbid was expecting when his family finally returned to their Altadena neighborhood after the Eaton Fire.
“I think during the fire he pretty much stayed in there,” Arbid said. “I think he was scared.”
The bear, known by some neighbors as Berry and others as Victor for frequenting the area, was too large to tranquilize, leading experts to lure him out with a massive feast.
Took a tour of the wreckage with chef/owners Paul & Monique. This is just a tiny spec of the damage to Altadena. You drive thru and whole streets are gone, but then you come across a property that is untouched. Very surreal.
