KindTuesdays! Week 13! Lucky 13! It’s been a long time coming, but behold …. MEGALITH!!! I don’t know remember what it’s supposed to be about, but will shortly as I’m reading this massive tome all in one sitting tonight! If the Megalith from ContinuityComics from the 90s shows up it will blow my mind. And if he doesn’t, sounds likes a sketch cover for a Megalith blank! HorvaThursdays (on a Saturday)!! Week 50! Oh boy, Thursdays have been rough lately, so I missed a few HorvaThursdays. Today (yes a Saturday and not a Thursday) we have a special sketch cover from Derek Kirk Kim (The Last Mermaid and Royals from Image)!! Was lucky enough to meet Derek at his Cape and Cowl singing today. @capecowlcomics Looks like Sam picked up a bad habit from the Royals universe! KindTuesdays! Week 11! This literally just came in a few hours ago. Some people get original art pages, but where else can you get a single original art panel?? Let alone for a Mind MGMT comic? Like Voltron (if you’re thinking cars, lions or sentinels, the answer is always LIONS), when all owners get together they can combine their panels into a magnificent beast!!! If you have a panel, tag me so I can say hi:) In lieu of the Mind MGMT voltron force gathering to see the panels all together, the actual comic slated to be released sometime in 2026/2027. But to mix my pop culture references, all us panel holders can meet for a picnic and go all Highlander on each other until there is only one of us left!!! THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!! KindTuesdays! Week 10! Now this may be my very first sketch cover. Not sure how many of these are out there, but I’m glad to have one for my collection! I think they were meant for a con in early 2020… yeah, bad time for cons! This one I got direct from the dark horse website. In retrospect, i should’ve bought two! At the time, BANG! seemed to be the book that connected Mind Mgmt, DeptH, Revolver, Giant Man and all of Matt’s creator owned work to date. KindTuesdays! Week 9! For this week, here is the book that brought me back to buying comics in their single issue format. Yes, a hardcover brought me back! Mind MGMT volume 1 was no simple read that you could forget about. You had to read it several times to get different impacts on your… MIND! Do you read it straight through, then read the text in the margins? Or read the margins first then the story? Does it mess with your flow if you read each page completely before moving on? Then the question is, margin first or page first? One of the first books I’ve read that I couldn’t get enough of (so glad it’s coming back!). Not to mention the mind blowing covers and back covers with secret codes! I’ve actually owned multiple copies of this hardcover, and given some away as presents or even as an additional tip to delivery drivers! This copy I’m keeping because of the sweet sketch on the inside cover. When Matt offers sketched editions on his website, who am I to say no? Can’t wait for that next hardcover collection! Fingers crossed there are sketch editions avails, otherwise ill hav to hunt Matt down the next time he is on the west coast.
