El Melting Pot and Our Latin Thing Presents: Salsa on Sea.
Our Latin Thing @our.latin.thing is London’s newest underground Latin movement. OLT has been busy building a community around a shared Latin culture and traditional sounds strictly on vinyl. Julian Gomez aka El Melting Pot is a Colombian/ Brighton based record collector/selector who has been sharing his extensive knowledge and passion in tropical sounds and global rare grooves for quite some time.
For this occasion, in Brighton, El Melting Pot & OLT have combined forces to bring you SALSA ON SEA, inviting selectors and musicians who are also passionate about Latin America’s musical richness. Held at brightons best seaside venue @fortuneofwar this will be a celebration by and for the diaspora. Connecting the Latin community while welcoming dancers from all backgrounds, capturing the warmth and high energy of traditional gatherings rooted in resistance, social consciousness, community and love. Expect salsa, cumbia, boogaloo, funk and Latin jazz/soul that will keep your body dancing all day/night long.
