For this edition of “Fort Visits,” we spent time with artist Maisie Broome (@myfawnwy ), whose dreamlike practice drifts between textiles, sculpture, printmaking, and performance. Raised among fairies, spirits, and sea swans on an island in Maine—and now based in Queens—Maisie’s world-building feels both grounded and otherworldly. Her marbled prints and sewn works echo motherhood, magic, and memory, often taking shape through intuition and chance. Swipe through for a glimpse into Maisie’s multidimensional process and a few of her favorite stories. #FortMakers #FortVisits

Created by Shino Takeda (@shinotakeda ) for Fort Makers’ GREEN HOUSE series, this large scale ceramic planter is designed to hold and sustain living form. Gas fired and layered with painterly surface and shifting color, each piece considers the relationship between vessel and plant. One fixed and formed, the other growing and unpredictable, brought together in a single composition. Available at fortmakers.com #FortMakers

Bright, hairy, and maybe a little alive. These sculptural ottomans by Tamika Rivera (@tamikanin ) have a mind of their own or at least a lot of personality. Each one is hand-knotted, wrapped, and stuffed into soft, creature-like forms. Think furniture meets fantasy with a pop of yarn and a wink. Available now at fortmakers.com 🎨🧶 #FortMakers #TamikaRivera

These papier-mâché vessels by Margot DeMarco (@objet_demarco ) 9 turn grocery bags, egg cartons, and old seltzer bottles into bold, sculptural silhouettes. Hand-built from salvaged materials and finished in a tactile brown-paper skin, each form curves, leans, or angles in its own quiet way. Earthy, expressive, and unmistakably handmade. Naomi Clark’s (@naomisclarkstudio ) hand-painted scarf is a wearable painting. Soft, playful, and one of a kind. Each piece is made using batik techniques on silk charmeuse, where the fruit is abstract and the palette sings. A splash of art for someone who dresses like a canvas. Our Holiday Gift Guide continues with something bright and beautifully made. Purchase your own today on our website. Link in bio! #FortMakers #NaomiClark #HolidayGiftGuide

Keith Simpson’s (@earlyamericanrobotpottery ) ceramic cars are memories frozen in glaze. All soft edges, sky-blue curves, and headlights that never really worked. Part toy, part time capsule, each one coasts through the mythology of freedom, rebellion, and the backseat moments that built us. Our Holiday Gift Guide begins with a ceramic hatchback built for nostalgia. Purchase your own today on our website. Link in bio! #FortMakers #KeithSimpson #HolidayGiftGuide
