We teamed up with our friends at @samplestudio.la to launch @hotlunch.co , a small-batch brand making considered objects for everyday life. First drop is a series of lighter covers, each one built around a familiar form and taken somewhere new.

@forthandbackstudio built the event identity for @jumpman23 ’s NBA All-Star Weekend 2026, turning Inglewood into a citywide canvas rooted in MJ’s Black/Infrared AJVI.
The typographic system pairs custom blackletter with a manipulated Jordan sans, two voices drawn from LA’s own visual language. The blackletter carries the weight of sport, music and street culture, while Jordan Sans has been stretched and condensed to mirror the way typography behaves across LA’s storefronts and awnings. “Pairing the two type styles allowed the identity to reflect that condition rather than smooth it out,” Tanner Woodbury explains.
That same layered energy runs through the textures and production. Subtle spacing shifts, slight distortions and deliberate mis-registrations give every touchpoint a sense of physicality, even in digital outputs.

We started Forth+Back right out of college. No big clients. No safety net. Just a belief that if we made the work interesting enough, the right people would eventually notice.
Had a great time visiting our friend @trabuccocampos at @pentagramdesign recently, speaking to his SVA class about exactly that. How you get from nothing to something. How the constraints early on aren’t the obstacle. They’re the brief.
When Jordan Brand took over Los Angeles for NBA All-Star Weekend 2026, @forthandbackstudio was responsible for bringing a unified visual identity to every surface of the event. Centred on Inglewood, the work spanned the Jordan Brand House, which hosted tournaments, clinics, swap meets and dance battles, through to retail touchpoints across the city. The palette was drawn directly from Michael Jordan’s Black and Infrared AJ VI, with infrared and black tones running consistently across invitations, signage, wayfinding and scoreboards. Custom blackletter and a manipulated Jordan sans formed the typographic core of a system that embraced imperfection and the distinct textures of Los Angeles.

The final night of Jordan’s NBA All-Star Weekend closed with the Battle of LA, a high-stakes 3v3 ⛹️♂️ tournament that brought together teams from some of the city’s most iconic brands and stores. Our identity extended from team jerseys to courtside signage and environmental graphics, carried throughout the competition.
For NBA All-Star Weekend, Friday night culminated in a house party🏠 at the Jordan Brand House in Inglewood. It featured an all-women lineup with DJs such as Erykah Badu, Aye Jaye, Osh Kosh, Silky C, and more, along with appearances from Luka Dončić, Teyana Taylor, and friends.
Our identity was injected throughout the space across signage, graphics, and digital moments, extending the system throughout the night🔊
