-Current Exhibition O SERIES Kwangho Lee x FORMAT @_kwangho_lee @form__at 19 DEC 2025 - 15 FEB 2026 OPENING RECEPTION: 19 DEC, 5pm-7pm PANEL SESSION: 20 DEC, 3pm-4pm SKWAT KAMEARI ART CENTRE / ARCADE Upon the raw surface of reused aluminum formwork, the sculptural language of Kwangho Lee finds new resonance. In collaboration with Format, their inaugural series emerges at SKAC. The “O” resists a single definition. It may suggest cycle, infinity, or connection—or, to some, it reads as zero, circle, or simply the letter O. Open to interpretation, the form stretches across language and perception, expanding like a universe of endless possibility. For its debut, Original Line embraces the unvarnished character of reclaimed aluminum in three variations: Stool (O-O-S1), Chair (O-O-C1), and Bench (O-O-B1). Each shares a common sculptural vocabulary, yet holds its own presence as an independent work of art. O Series signals only a beginning—an evolving language of form that will continue to expand through Lee’s distinctive explorations of material. 再利用されたアルミ型枠の素朴な表面に、イ・カンホの彫刻的表現が新たな響きを見出す。フォーマットとのコラボレーションによる初シリーズがSKACにて展示される。「O」は単一の定義に抗う。循環、無限、繋がりを示唆するかもしれないあるいは、誰かにとってはゼロ、円、あるいは単に文字のOとして映るだろう。解釈に開かれたこの形態は言語と知覚を越え、無限の可能性の宇宙のように広がっていく。 デビュー作となる「Original Line」は、再生アルミの無垢な特性を活かし、スツール（O-O-S1）、チェア（O-O-C1）、ベンチ（O-O-B1）の3バリエーションを展開。いずれも共通の造形言語を持ちながら、独立した芸術作品としての存在感を放つ。Oシリーズは始まりに過ぎない進化する造形の言語は、カンホによる素材への独自の探求を通じ今後も拡大を続けていく。

ALUMINUM FORMWORK SERIES, 2024 Aluminum formwork ("AL - FORM") is used to create various types of concrete structures for architectural framing. Inspired by the cycle process of 'Production - Rental - Repair - Dissolution - Reproduction, niceworkshop designed FORMAT's aluminum formwork as part of its new furniture series. 'AL - FORM' used at construction sites are often reused after removing surface concrete debris through 'Shot blasting' and 'Flattening' process. A concrete texture is formed on the surface of the reused 'AL - FORM' due to pouring and curing, traces of the concrete become darker with repeated work. Through this collaborative effort, we introduce the 'Aged Form Line', which captures the enduring texture of concrete on the surface even after the repair process, and the 'New Form Line', which employs new materials reproduced through a recycling process. 8 L 360 x 1260 x 450mm Form Deck Off-cuts Perforated Sheet Metal Polyurethane Finish Form Deck is an industrial building material developed by FORMAT, used to create custom moulds for casting concrete structures. On construction sites, each sheet is cut to fit a specific project, leaving behind irregular off-cuts. The Form Deck Series repurposes these off-cuts into furniture, each finished with an architectural-grade protective layer. By working with fragments from the construction process, the series turns industrial remnants into purpose-built furniture. Commissioned by FORMAT @form__at
