We recently completed a retaining wall replacement project for Swope Health that transformed both the function and appearance of the site. The project included demolition of the failing wall, installation of a new modular retaining wall, relocation of pole lights, excavation and grading, updated landscaping, and storm sewer improvements.

Last weekend, the Forge Construction team traded their hard hats for sun hats and spent the day at the Kansas City Zoo!
A day full of celebrating the people behind the work and the support systems that make it all possible. Whether it was sharing laughs, watching a gorilla lick the window, or just simply enjoying time outside of the office and jobsite, it was a great reminder that what we are building goes far beyond the projects.

Forge Construction is excited to announce the completion of the @surgerycenterofthenorthland . This project reflects the commitment to building spaces that directly impact community health and well-being.
With the ability to bring this vision to life, Forge was able to build a facility featuring four fully equipped operating rooms, surgical technology, and specialized support space to ensure efficiency and patient comfort.
Focused on serving orthopedic, spine, and podiatry procedures, including total joint replacements, the space will provide an alternative to traditional hospital-based care.
We’re honored to be a part of this project that will enhance patient experiences, support medical professionals, and expand access to high-quality surgical care in Platte City, Missouri.

Every milestone tells a story, and today we’re proud to highlight Mitch Welty and the impact he’s made at Forge Construction.
Mitch brings over 22 years of construction experience, starting alongside his father and brother and later studying construction management at Pittsburg State shaping his skillset and approach today.
What stands out most to Mitch about Forge is the camaraderie. “Everyone’s door is always open, whether it’s to lend an ear, offer advice on a project, or just talk through life.”
Over the past year, Mitch has played a key role on the Shelter KC project, one he describes as both challenging and rewarding. “It’s pushed me to learn new skills and build strong relationships, but most importantly, it’s a project that delivers meaningful, long-term value to the community.”
Mitch enjoys hunting, fishing, and staying active with softball and soccer. He and his wife Sam, together since 2005 and married in 2016, have two sons, Blake (7) and Jace (4). As a family, they love being outdoors—riding bikes, fishing, traveling, and spending time at the lake.
Looking ahead, Mitch is excited about what the future holds for the Forge team. “We have some of the best people and partnerships in the industry and the opportunities to make a difference are endless.”
