April showers bring May flowers, and speaking of flowers, have you seen these ones? 'Upcycled Flora' by artist Katie Kramer features the iconic heart sculpture embellished in Missouri's state flower, the White Hawthorn. When you take a closer look, you see that each flower is hand-painted and crafted entirely out of recycled plastic bottles. This piece captures the State's natural beauty while highlighting recycling and environmental sustainability. Find this piece framed by the wickets just outside of City Hall and Green Street at 209 SE Green St. theparadeofhearts.com

It’s backflow testing season. 💧 Backflow occurs when water flows in the wrong direction, allowing contaminants to enter the public water supply. Backflow prevention devices help protect our drinking water and must be tested annually by June 30. What needs to be tested? • Sprinkler/Irrigation Systems • Inground HOA/Neighborhood Pools • Fire Sprinkler Systems • Commercial Water Connections • Commercial Multi-Dwelling Units/Apartments Find a certified tester: /water-utilities/customer-education/water-system/backflow
