Your donations in action! Thanks to support from the @mosierraclub and our community we've launched our summer stewardship watering program at O'Fallon Park. Today we watered over 180 trees in just under three hours using a combination of pumps, hydrants, buckets, and wagons. Imagine how much we can accomplish once the new 100-foot hose arrives!
Young tree care and stewardship is a critical part of making sure the trees we plant in our community thrive. The trees in your life could probably use a drink too- a good rule of thumb is to give a young trees 5-10 gallons per inch of trunk.

April showers bring May flowers! While our team has been out watering at our nursery (and beyond) we've been taking the time to appreciate some of our late spring blooming trees.
Northern Catalpa is blooming along St Louis City streets, Japanese tree lilacs pyramidal panicles of flowers add a touch of elegance to parking lots, all while pollinators flock to ninebark and nannyberry viburnum. It looks like multiple species of serviceberries are ripening across the landscape! If the birds don't beat you to the fruit, consider collecting and refrigerating the berries of the native downy serviceberry for either a tasty snack or a generous donation to our state nursery.

Storm recovery takes a community- thanks to planting volunteers from @redeeminglove.stl and @pivot_energy Fountain Park is 35 trees greener.
