The SD1R is designed with three key things in mind; consistency, repetition and durability.
The Suprima SD1R combines both percolation and immersion methods of brewing. During the initial pours, the flow rate is faster and extraction is closer to drip or percolation. However, later in the brewing process, the flow rate slows down and the extraction more closely approaches immersion.
This combination of drip and immersion methods makes the brewing process more stable.
For a fast-paced coffee bar like us, SD1R has helped reduce the likelihood of operational errors, providing a perfectly consistent brew almost every time.

Natcha is a cutting-edge processing company from West Java. They have a great track record of excellence including winning #05 in Cup of Excellent.
Lot 03, a collection of coffee from nearby farmers, undergoes processing with the Semi Washed CM method using Champagne Yeast and lactic acid for a period of three days, which contributes to the development of highly intricate and distinctive flavours. Imagine sipping this coffee and being transported back to childhood memories with notes reminiscent of strawberry yogurt, rose syrup, and grape soda, evoking a nostalgic symphony of flavours.
The atmosphere at St Kilda Rd is all about enjoying the simple parts of the day. A space worth making part of your weekly routine to slow down, unwind, and enjoy good coffee.
Behind the beans:
Since 2023, @wandhe_family_estate been exploring the untapped potential of coffee species beyond Arabica and Robusta. This release features Excelsa (Coffea dewevrei) from Wonosalam, East Java, produced by @shobari_karim at Wandhe Family Estate using a 120-hour Mossto Anaerobic Natural process.
The result is an intensely sweet and complex cup with notes of grapes, apple, caramel candy, stevia, and a cola-like finish as it cools. This coffee also contributed to Elysia Tan’s highest Open Service score at the 2025 World Brewers Cup Jakarta, highlighting the remarkable potential of Liberica and Excelsa in specialty coffee.
