Our very own roaster Calvin, took home the title of Master of Moccamaster over the weekend ☕️👑 Competing against 11 other coffee aficionados in WA’s first ever Moccamaster Batch Brew Competition, the event was judged completely anonymously by the spectators — no judges panel, just pure crowd voting. The winning coffee? Kaleidoscope Colombia from Offshoot Coffee. A juicy, expressive and wildly layered coffee designed to shine through batch brew. Huge thanks to @moccamaster_aus and @micrologycoffeerosters for hosting such a fun and community-driven event. Good news… Kaleidoscope will officially be landing next Friday! Secure your bag(s) before they disappear into another dimension 🌈

Still buzzing from last night 🧡 Stoked to take out the first WA Moccamaster Batch Brew Comp ☕️ Big thanks to @moccamaster_aus and @micrologycoffeeroasters for co-hosting such a fun event and bringing the coffee community together. Loved the format with full anonymous spectator voting! Just people drinking coffee and voting for what they genuinely enjoyed. Had heaps of fun roasting and brewing Kaleidoscope Colombia Natural from @offshootcoffee for the comp. Super expressive, juicy, funky and sweet 💥 Exactly the kind of coffee I love sharing in a batch brew setting. We’ll be releasing Kaleidoscope very soon so you can brew it on your Moccamaster or favourite brewer at home too 👀 Stay curious ✨

Nathan from Natcha visited our first shop @warungcoffeemelbourne a few of years ago and brought us a sample that completely blew our minds. We never thought an Indonesian coffee could taste like this. Big thanks to @thisladlovescoffee for introducing us to Offshoot as well as to our friends at @offshootcoffee for bringing this coffee to us and roasting it in a way that truly highlights its character, making it as expressive as possible. Natcha is a cutting-edge processing company from West Java. They have a great track record of excellence including winning #05 in Cup of Excellent. Lot 03, a collection of coffee from nearby farmers, undergoes processing with the Semi Washed CM method using Champagne Yeast and lactic acid for a period of three days, which contributes to the development of highly intricate and distinctive flavours. Imagine sipping this coffee and being transported back to childhood memories with notes reminiscent of strawberry yogurt, rose syrup, and grape soda, evoking a nostalgic symphony of flavours.
