This one took the biscuitā¦a quiet obsession. Started in Oct 24 and completed in May 25: I went over it repeatedly - gamified it - re-read each line as I worked through it. It felt like revisiting my own diaryā¦def crazy in places but ultimately a sweet record of progress š¤

Iāve been running simulations on my commute for months, on a game I found beautiful and just couldnāt leave aloneā¦
Conwayās Game of Life. Four rules. No player. No goal.
I rebuilt it ā warped the grid and pulled the palette from paintings Iām working on.
When I bent the Cartesian grid away from its rigid structure, the cells started to feel less like data and more akin to evolving, cellular forms. The same rules but a completely different world.
Still determined and unpredictable, simultaneously. Sort of like my linesā¦

These two canvases felt much more challenging than the others.
Their lengths made every line feel like it wouldnāt end...
ā¦shorter lines always feel less difficult - especially when working on a larger surface area.
