Do you have craft supplies you don’t want? More importantly, do you want to take home other people’s unwanted craft supplies?
Come on down to Forbes Library for our Arts & Crafts Supply Swap on Saturday, May 23 from 10am-1pm. You do not need to bring something in order to take something! But if you do want to bring something, make sure it’s fit for reuse and small enough to carry out of the library.
Josh will be there and will be just as excited to help you swap your craft supplies as he is in this video!

The children’s department offers programs for our littlest patrons to play, sing, read, learn, create, and laugh with their caregivers. You and your baby are invited to:
🧸Baby Free Play (every Monday at 10:00am)
📖 Baby Storytime (every Tuesday at 10:00am)
🎨 Baby Art (one afternoon a month—the next one is Wednesday, May 20 at 2:30)

What do you do when your prom picture plans get rained out? Head to the library!
Isabella and Oren planned to take pictures in Child’s Park before their prom on Saturday, but the weather wasn’t cooperating. They decided to go to Forbes Library and use our historic architecture as their photo backdrop.

Forbes Library is a member of the Massachusetts Trial Court Law Libraries’ Public Library Initiative, offering virtual court access through the Access to Justice program. This program works to provide equal access to the court system for the public, including self-represented litigants, those with limited or no English proficiency, and individuals with mental or physical disabilities.

Reserve one of our meeting rooms to attend court remotely
Print court forms on a library printer
Use Forbes’ institutional Trial Court Law Libraries card to access law eBooks, databases, and other resources

The Friends of Forbes Library present: Community Bingo—A Fundraiser for Forbes Library!
Bingo amateurs and champs alike are invited to the library on Sunday, May 17th to support the library and try their luck. In addition to bingo hosted by Molly Keehn the Bingo Queen, attendees can also enter into a 50/50 raffle and enjoy refreshments. Doors open at 1:30 and bingo will begin at 2:00. Park in the library parking lot for free.
This fundraising event has a suggested donation of $20. All proceeds support library resources!
The Force is strong at Forbes Library on May the 4th!
We’re doing up Star Wars Day in a BIG way this Monday! Costumed characters from @official501st will visit for a May the 4th Be With You Pizza Party for kids, teens and their families from 5:00-7:00 in the community room, complete with Star Wars-themed crafts and activities.
There will also be scavenger hunts and games for all ages on every floor of the library!
Don your finest armor, cloaks and Jedi robes and join us for the festivities 🌟🌌
