So here we are at Østmo pair number 100. It’s been quite the journey since I begun back in 2015, and without a doubt one of the most rewarding ventures of my life. I am very thankful to everyone who has followed and supported me since the start; as well as those who have just recently discovered my humble craft.
Here in camp Østmo things remain the same since the beginning. Learning by doing is the way of the walk, and the truth of the matter is that I have only scratched the surface of what can be done in terms of shoe- and bootmaking. This is the first pair of boots featuring Norvegese stitching for the inner row of sole stitches. It might look complicated, but it’s actually pretty straightforward but once you know how a spinning stitch is done. It certainly does give the boots a bit of extra flair! I’m looking forward to learning new things and improving further, and I’ll let it happen organically without rushing into things.
These are not for sale, but they will get a new time with one of my friends across the pond.

2009->2010->2019. Suffice to say, there’s been a few changes. After going through my old pictures, I also noticed I looked pretty much 23 until 30, and now at 32 I suddenly have the weathered look going on. And I fully embrace it!
Getting older is pretty alright y’all. Learning stuff is fun instead of stressful. Not putting too much energy into issues that relatively speaking aren’t too bad is also rad. Stagnation is the enemy, not age.

More #bootdouchery. WWII Impressions Boondockers fresh out of the factory. Made by the H. H. Brown owned Cove Shoe Company in Martinsburgh, PA. I pre-ordered these in May, and good things are worth waiting for. Goodyear welted, corded sole by @dr_sole_originals , unlined and unstructured toe. Now all I need is At The Front’s slightly more historically accurate version to compare. I have a problem. Good thing I’m broke af.

We recently had an addition to the family 😻 His name is Løvetann (Dandelion in English) and the last few pictures do a fairly good job at conveying the emotional roller coaster that is kittenhood. He cute though.
