🩸 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙/𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 ALLTHETIME 02 • 112pp Poems by bani haykal, David Wong Hsien Ming and Izyanti Asa’ari With a critical introduction by Diana Rahim 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙/𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 braids together the grievances that colour the days of our increasingly estranged lives. Across generations, these poems trace endurance, the body’s remembering and the labour of becoming, building a shared anatomy of care and survival. Moving between confession and collaboration, the collection traces how blood—as kinship, sacrifice, and persistence—binds us to histories both chosen and imposed, exploring what we carry and how writing can turn wounds into endurance. Available from 20 February on our webstore <afterimage.press/shop> and other major bookstores. For more updates, return to this pinned post or visit our website: <afterimage.press> Audio: "MUNGKIN KAU TAK" by bani haykal #singlit #poetry #poetrycommunity

𝙒𝙄𝙇𝙇 𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙎 𝙁𝙇𝙊𝘼𝙏: 𝙋𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙢 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨 is a site-specific, speculative performance piece on the process of building a kolek, a small Malay boat. This piece is performed by weaving in movement, oral history archives, and spoken word. On a site where few remnants of its boatbuilding past remain, a car is used in an attempt to remember and imagine.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Has been a joy to piece this loose assembly with @moreofelle . Trying my hand as well with soundscaping this?? 🖤🖤🖤⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Slide 1: “Boat Builder in Beach Road” (Credit: NAS)⁣⁣ Slide 2 - 5: Images from 𝘉𝘰𝘢𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘦, Eric R. Alfred (1987)⁣⁣ Slide 6: FB clip ……………⁣⁣ —————————————————————⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Rewilding #02 is a literary and visual arts gathering that explores themes of the ecological and the fantastic, producing a novel visual and literary arts experience that tries to rewild a manicured physical and cultural landscape. The gathering invites the audience to immerse themselves in a multimedia experience featuring poetry, visual arts, and performance. The writers involved are Daryl Lim, Izyanti Asa’ari, and Shawn Hoo, collaborating closely with artists Elle Cheng, Lynette Quek, and Tristan Lim. Rewilding is a series produced by Dave Lim from DASSAD.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Rewilding is supported by Next STAGE - a creative platform by Arts House Group.
