From being the young medical doctor and visual artist nominated under the Arts and Culture Category to winning the most competitive and coveted award under The Future Awards Africa is just wild! It’s been many years of continuous growth and strive for excellence in both Medicine and Art. Definitely come a long way from the last slide 😅 This prize isn’t just a trophy, it’s evidence that consistency and patience win. Thanks to everyone who believed, stayed, and supported. Skin bleaching products commonly contain potent agents such as topical corticosteroids (steroids), hydroquinone, and mercury — all of which carry significant dermatologic and systemic health risks. ⚠️ Topical steroids can cause skin atrophy, steroid acne, stretch marks, visible blood vessels, delayed wound healing, and long-term skin barrier damage. Chronic misuse may also lead to systemic absorption and hormonal complications. ⚠️ Hydroquinone, when used unsupervised or in high concentrations, may trigger exogenous ochronosis — a difficult-to-treat bluish-black skin discoloration — alongside irritation, photosensitivity, and pigment instability. ⚠️ Mercury-containing creams are highly toxic and have been linked to nephrotoxicity, neurotoxicity, peripheral neuropathy, and psychiatric symptoms due to mercury accumulation in the body. Skin lightening should never come at the expense of skin health or overall health. Safe, evidence-based dermatologic care always matters. #SkinHealth #Dermatology #SkinBleaching #TopicalSteroids

PCOS is now PMOS… as it’s always been bigger than just ovaries. Your hormones, metabolism, skin, weight, fertility, mood, they’re all connected. A new name, but the same reality millions of women have been living with for years. Maybe now, more people will finally understand that this is not ‘just irregular periods.’ #PMOS #PCOS #HormonalHealth #WomensHealth The term PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) is being adopted to better reflect the condition’s hormonal and metabolic impact beyond ovarian cysts.

What defines you is your decision to keep going anyway. To trust your vision when it’s still invisible to others. To believe in your voice before the world echoes it back. Stay rooted. Stay focused. Stay becoming. Because the same people who doubt you today… will study your journey tomorrow. ✈️ @voyagequest.travel #believeinyourself #stayfocused #keepgoing
