I FINALLY GOT IT UP. 😂 My first real flatwater paddle up after pregnancy. No wake. No foil assist. No shortcuts. Just lots of failed attempts, tiny improvements, frustration… and slowly getting my body and timing back. Honestly, this one means a lot more to me than it probably looks like from the outside. And the craziest part? A few sessions ago this still felt impossible. Now onto making them consistent 👀 #foiling #supfoil #paddleup #foil

69 days to Hood River 🌊 I think I’m finally understanding paddle-ups again… This one was boat wake assisted — but honestly it showed me I’m probably only missing a tiny bit more speed and power for a full flatwater paddle-up. Big thing I’m learning right now: don’t focus on getting UP too early. Focus on: → building speed → and paddling THROUGH the takeoff The moment I stop trying to force the lift and just focus on acceleration… everything starts feeling closer 👀 Flatwater paddle-ups after pregnancy have definitely humbled me 😅 but we’re getting there. Road to Hood River continues.

You’re pulling too early. And you can literally see it 👇 → splash = no grip → no grip = no power I was doing this too — especially when I tried to paddle faster. The fix is simple: set the blade first, then pull. No splash = full catch = real power. Try it next session and feel the difference. @foilit.de @kai_steimer #supfoil #paddletechnique #foiltraining #watersports #downwind

REACHING TOO HIGH 🚫 Looks powerful. Kills your paddle up and shoulder by the way ❌❌❌ If your top hand goes too high → you’re pushing down, not forward. Fix: keep it around eye level ➡️ send power forward Spotted & fixed with @kai_steimer Setup: @foilit.de Road to Hood River — Day 101 Who’s doing this too? 👇

YOU’RE NOT WEAK — YOU’RE PADDLING SIDEWAYS This mistake costs you way more than you think 👇 If your top hand isn’t stacked over your bottom hand: 👉 your paddle gets an angle 👉 you paddle a curve 👉 your power goes sideways The fix is simple: ✔️ Stack your hands ✔️ Keep the paddle vertical (90°) ✔️ Send your power forward This was a game changer for me. Coached by @kai_steimer @foilit.de 👇 Did you ever notice your board turning while paddling?

STOP PUMPING TOO EARLY 🚫 This mistake makes paddle ups way harder than they need to be. I kept trying to force the lift by pumping early with my legs… before the board even had speed. Result? No glide. No control. Just frustration. Then @kai_steimer reminded me: 👉 “Speed first. THEN pump.” Still not perfect. But some progress on the technique side of things, once i get my power back, this will help me paddle up faster. 🎯 If your paddle ups feel stuck — this might be why. 👇 Tell me: Are you pumping too early too? #paddleup #foilprogression #foiling #roadtohoodriver

Windy day = downwinder day. Perfect training right now to get back into pumping the board and reading the ocean, and also a good excuse to skip another paddle session and give my tired shoulders more rest 😅 First longer time away from Ella, first bottle ready, @kai_steimer on shuttle duty, winter wetsuit back… Great conditions to get back into winter winging, but I got to say I also realise how fit i used to be, by how much harder everything feels now 🥶😅 All gear from @foilit.de 116 days to go ..
