Definitely wearing an aura of serenity and a stare of power. I call this the ANCIENT CAT🐈‍⬛ Back at the Badaling Great Wall after nine years. Deeply moved by the vast scale of nature and the history etched into every stone. Each visit brings a new perspective🚀 Grateful to have documented it again on my 5 hour photo walk on these peaks. Nature's Wonder!⛰️ The Badaling Great Wall is the most famous and best-preserved section of the Great Wall of China, located northwest of Beijing. Its history traces back to earlier fortifications built during the Warring States period (7th–3rd century BCE), but the Badaling section as seen today was mainly constructed during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644). Built strategically to defend the capital from northern invasions, Badaling featured strong stone walls, watchtowers, and advanced military design. It played a key role in protecting Beijing and controlling important mountain passes. In 1957, Badaling became the first section of the Great Wall to be fully restored and opened to the public.
