Hi, I’m Michael - the heart behind Focused Bliss Productions ✨
The name ‘Focused Bliss’ comes from my simple belief: when you follow your passion - your bliss - you create work that truly matters. I’m incredibly grateful that I’ve been able to turn mine into a life’s work: handcrafting cinematic love stories that live on far beyond the wedding day - for my couples, and for their children and grandchildren who will one day watch them.
For the past 15 years, I’ve had the honor of capturing over 525 weddings, telling stories that are timeless, emotional, and deeply personal. Along the way, I’ve been humbled to be rated Top 3 locally and Top 5% nationally, and to be named a preferred videography partner for over 15 luxury venues across San Diego, including L’Auberge Del Mar, The Lodge at Torrey Pines, Rancho Bernardo Inn, and The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe to name a few.
Focused Bliss is a boutique studio by design - intentionally small, highly personalized, and rooted in a white-glove experience. Every film is thoughtfully crafted with care, artistry, and a deep respect for the story entrusted to me.
To my couples who have trusted me with one of the most meaningful days of your lives - thank you. To the incredible wedding planners and fellow creative partners who continue to refer, collaborate, and support me - I’m endlessly grateful.
Here’s to the beautiful celebrations ahead, the stories still waiting to be told, and the magic we’ll create together. #LuxuryWeddingFilm #SanDiegoWeddings #HeirloomFilms #BoutiqueWeddingExperience #FollowYourBliss
Happy Valentine’s Day! To celebrate love and love stories for the holiday weekend, we’re excited to share our first wedding and film of 2026.
The intentional words spoken on this beautiful day by Denise and Roger @pocaprieto@reezybdeezy , their friends, and their family are so moving and will pull at your heartstrings 🥹
Set in scenic wine country of Temecula, this wedding was such an emotional one to capture and we are so excited to see their love story continue for the years to come 🥰
Thank you to our former bride Charlene @brown_suga_n_bacon (and sister of the groom) - whose own wedding we captured many years prior - for having us film yet another momentous day for their family.

A slice of the Parisian life 🇫🇷 So why did I choose videography? It began with a single moment - watching old Super-8 footage of my grandfather. There was no color, no sound - just movement. He was smiling, watching my father as a young child, playing alongside his brothers. Yet those small gestures, the mannerisms, the life in motion, struck me more deeply than any photograph ever had.
In that moment, I understood the power of video. It preserves life in a way still images simply cannot. Video doesn’t just show what someone looked like - it shows how they were. That realization became one of the defining reasons I transitioned from photography into videography.
I began documenting my own life experiences through film, not only for myself, but for my future children and generations to come - so I could share my story with them the same way I was able to experience my grandfather’s through that Super-8 film.
That philosophy carries directly into my work with wedding couples. I don’t see their films as just beautiful videos for them to relive - I view them as generational time capsules, meant to be experienced by their families long into the future. With today’s advancements in color, audio, and 4K (and beyond), these films are more impactful than ever.
On a personal note, I’ve realized I don’t often share my own personal work on my company page. This film from my trip to Paris reflects my life outside the busy wedding season, and how I aim to preserve my travels, experiences, and everyday moments in a visual way - for myself, my family, and anyone who watches.
These are highlights from two weeks in Paris - exploring every nook and cranny. And if you happen to be planning a wedding in France (or anywhere abroad), I’d love to combine my passions for videography, travel, and weddings to capture your story abroad in the same artistic and intentional way.
And thank you, @jillhudgins , for reminding me that I have meaningful personal stories and films like this to share 😊
