Cabo Verde has a few very shallow spots and this is one of them. A real challenge to hold your line when it looks like you are going to ride over dry reef, after a few rides you get used to it. The scoring continues out here and there is only more swell on the way.

Ali Baba, Cabo Verde 🇨🇻is an Express Train ride. You buckle up, drop in and drop the hammer on full throttle. It takes a lot of conviction to make these sections.
Making it to the car park from the tree section is a lifetime achievement.
Today was not big enough to go all the way but the swell direction was absolutely perfect for the spot and got close once to connecting the whole way on one. Several other stand out rides with all the speed you need to appreciate this very unique island and it’s many very challenging spots. Great to have a solid crew of both visiting and local sailors to share it with.
5.3 Evoq / 99 Flywave handled the situation perfectly, giving me command of my trajectory and a ton of confidence.
