not for radio LP1 ‘melt’ is out today ✨it was an experience like no other.
maria brought us together in the dead of winter with no expectations. the three of us had never been in the same room before, let alone played together - but on day one it became clear that somehow everything was familiar, comfortable, fun, burned in.
inspired by maria’s confidence and ease, with no hindrance from label expectations, track counts, deadlines, references.. we wrote and recorded the record song by song, as you hear it in sequence.
we embraced the cold- making a routine of hiking the snowy trails and ice covered lakes that surround our lovely
@flyingcloudrecordings . jan was in her element with this one, as you can see 🐕
at a time where i was approaching major burnout, this record pulled me back in to the truth and beauty of what we do in the studio. i’ll never forget this session and i feel so lucky to call maria and luca my friends, family and collaborators.
