"In the impasse, through the window, every raid, every police check, sends us back to our powerlessness, and the stupefaction deepens. This window is also the explicit frontier of the difference in the violence we experience. To tell the story of the impasse without romanticizing or appropriating what we can only perceive, we dwelt on shared, contextual or everyday experiences with our neighbors. We thought about the resurgence of the sewers, the difficulty of defending ourselves against invisible agencies/corporations, the overflowing barricades of garbage cans, the camera on the corner that's constantly watching, the bludgeoning of information that alienates our worldviews.
SPOIL - The playable character is a mutant cyborg figure with multiple points of view, he is the dead end, the monstrous, the dissident, the suspicious, the controlled, the monitored and the immune, the cockroach, the seagull, the rat, undesirable but resistant. - SPOIL
The game's title refers to Impasse Delpech, where Fluidspace is located, in Marseille's Belle de Mai district.
The game was designed to be projected and played in the impasse with our neighbors, but also flashed on Game Boy cartridges or shared in a queer games arcade for feminist activist venues."
