First, look for your city in the comments below - each comment thread is one city/region and reply to the thread to say "hi I'm here! I like to sew XYZ!" etc.
If your city isn't listed, comment your city, for example, "Eugene, OR 🌲" and others can comment on the thread to say hi.
Once this post gets rolling, you should be able in theory to find local pals! Be brave and send a DM to locals or make a group chat. Please use internet safety basics and if you meet up, meet in a public place.

-Local library to look at crafting books
-Local coffee shop to trade supplies, buttons, zippers etc

I’ve missed garment sewing so much. I’ve been so focused on quilts lately, and it feels really special to finally make clothes again, especially with fabric from my own collection. What a dream! This is why I started sewing in the first place, so I could bring my ideas to life.
I couldn’t resist sewing up a couple of cute outfits in the linen/ rayon. There is such a nice weight and drape to this fabric. It feels slightly heavier than the cotton/linen but still light and breathable, perfect for summer makes. This is an #swsornella dress, #ashtontop and #swshenrietta set in the homestead print.
Homestead in Pink Lemonade is sold out in the rayon/ linen… but still available in the linen/ cotton! I’m thinking of using Sunbaked Patchwork Star in linen/ cotton to sew up a cute @closetcorepatterns #closetcoreaylin for summer.

I used the Harlequin in Pink Lemonade in the Linen Rayon substrate which has the most wonderful drape
My top is the newly released #margietop by @stitchwitchpatterns 🎉
I made a size 16 and added 1" to the length. I also omitted the sleeve elastic to make it a flutter sleeve. It was made from an old quilt topper - swipe to see my absolute favorite quilt square!
The skirt is the #plainjane by @neighborhoodpatterns
I sized up two sizes (according to the chart) and made a 14 for some extra volume. I also added 2" to the length and made side ties.
Keep an eye out because Harlequin House launches later today!

Slub Linen Rayons are dropping Friday at 12pm PST along with our highly anticipated @withlove_bykristy drop!
Linen Rayons are slubby, textured like linen, but have the delightful “swooshy” drape of a rayon. I personally love it for a swishy dress, a comfortable jumpsuit, casual elastic pants and shorts etc.
These punchy spring colors mix and match so well with @withlove_bykristy ‘s print collection and half of Kristy’s prints are on linen rayon so these would work for some fun colorblocking moments 🌈

When I started designing Harlequin House, I knew I wanted to incorporate hot pink and chartreuse: my go-to summer color palette. 🩷🥑 I couldn’t help but sew up a couple of cute outfits in the linen/ rayon.
The natural texture of these linen blends gives the prints such a soft, perfectly imperfect handmade quality.
The linen/cotton blend has a slightly more structured feel that’s perfect for quilts, homewares, and garments with shape, while the linen/rayon blend drapes like a dream… soft, flowy, and made for twirling, breezyyy dresses, and sunny summer days. ☀️
