The Epstein files, Gisèle Pelicot, Collien Fernández… way too many times I have been wondering if this is all just a nightmare & hoping to wake up from it. For a long time, I have been asking myself what I can do against this violence and this injustice. My personal breaking point came a few days ago when one of our teachers told me that she felt extremely uncomfortable & scared during one of her classes. There was only one student present—a man. He made inappropriate comments during the class. That student is a member of an aggregator. We immediately informed that partner. They reacted quickly and told me they would block him from our studio. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case. Things like this happen regularly—not only in life in general, but also in the yoga scene, which should be a safe space where facilitators and students come together to create and seek peace and relaxation. During that same week, I attended one of @danasertel classes. She spoke about the case of @collien_ulmen and asked all the women in the class to raise their hands if they had ever experienced sexual harassment. I believe every woman raised her hand—and the class was full. Dana encouraged all students—regardless of gender—to speak up and stop being ignorant about sexual harassment, no matter what form it takes. I am sharing personal experiences from my own yoga journey in the slides. These are only the experiences that occurred within the yoga space. There have been many more outside of the „yoga bubble“ throughout my life that I am not mentioning here. These things happen every day, and they happen to all of us. I know that sexual harassment occurs in many forms in studios in Berlin and in yoga schools around the world. As long as we ignore it, as long as we stay silent, nothing will change. We invite students, teachers, aggregators, facilitators, and studio owners to join an open conversation on Tuesday, 14.04 at 14:00 at @greenyoga.co Fhain to talk about these questions: As a male teacher, how can you create a space where female students feel comfortable? How can we make our studios safer? What can our aggregators & partners do to support safety in studios?

January in Berlin ❄️🤍 very snowy, icy, slippery, cold, but lots of sunshine and blue skies!! Definitely one of the best Januarys I saw in Berlin!! Full Yoga classes (new year resolutions are still a thing!!), full moon ceremonies, kirtans, Rauhnächte Ritual (and I almost burned my house down multiple times 🙈), afternoons in Berghain supporting @biesmans_ (this day was the absolute highlight and best start to 2026), lots of hibernating at home writing the manual for our first yoga teacher training, lots of walks in the snow, endless hours spent in the yoga studio and having to fight our mat racks 😶‍🌫️ One thing I enjoy so much are some unexpected encounters on the dancefloor with my students! Happens everytime now and we always end up spending a few hours together!! I really love Berlin for this! Special gratitude to @thevisitorpascalandres who got a group together to support homeless people in the cold with donated clothes, warm food and tea and some hugs!! 🫂 that was special!! And lots of contemplation about how can I be more selfless and do more things to make this world a little brighter in these times and how I can help humans in need.
