Is death really the end? We may agree that we are living, yet in truth, all of us are slowly dying. Death is inescapable and certain to anyone. The yogic perspective on overcoming the fear of death reveals a much deeper dimension where the dissolution of individuality becomes a transition in the continuum of consciousness. On the path of yoga, each moment of meditative clarity and stillness becomes an act of detachment and a symbolic death - a surrendering of false identification with what is impermanent and ever-changing. The wisdom of the ancient sages prepares us not to fear and escape death, but to meet it with clarity and equanimity, grounded in the knowledge that what truly is cannot perish - our true Self. In this light, death becomes not an end, but a revelation that every yogic practice is a process of returning to our true home which is unborn, eternal and untouched by the cycles of creation and dissolution.
