The future of work needs more spaces like @queens.house
Tomorrow weâre hosting another flockhere coworking day from one of St Albansâ newest co-working hubs, designed for focus, creativity and connection.
With hot desks, fixed desks, phone booths, meeting rooms and even a podcast studio, itâs the kind of space that makes getting out of the house and into work mode feel easy.
Weâre all about building micro-communities for women who work from home, creating connection, banishing isolation and helping women discover inspiring places to work across the UK.
Whatâs included:
âš Your own desk for the day
âš Co-working alongside other women locally
âš Tea & coffee provided
âš breakfast + afternoon snack trolley
âš Access to the coworking space + phone booths

Join us instead at @thehubonverulam
Itâs usually members, only, but flockhere hosts a monthly coworking there, so you can sit with us đ€
No pressure, no forced networking.
Just a room full of people getting their heads down⊠together
(Itâs that body doubling magic, đȘ youâll get more done in a few hours than you have all week.)
Comment below đ if you fancy trying it out, weâve got the space from 10am-5pm so park up for the whole day or pop along for a hour or two! Whatever works for you âïž
The Hearth x flockhere đ„ł
Iâm really excited to announce a new flockhere Residency at The Hearth!!
The Hearth is a beautiful womenâs coworking space in Queenâs Park and exactly the kind of place I always hoped flockhere would partner with.
When I started flockhere, the idea was simple: women working flexibly should have more choice over where they work and more opportunities to connect with each other in real life, think of it as a flexible working passport that gives you access to places and people
These residencies are how weâre starting to make that happen.
Weâll be hosting small coworking pop-ups at The Hearth where you can step away from working at home and spend the day alongside other brilliant women doing their thing.
Itâs a chance to work intentionally for a few hours, get through the things youâve been putting off, make progress on your business or projects, and do it in a space where everyone else is focused too.
As part of flockhere, youâll also get access to The Hearth beyond the meet-ups, with member perks that make it easier to drop in and work from the space when you need to.
Upcoming dates:
đTuesday 24 March
đTuesday 28 April
Weâre keeping these small (max 8 people) so thereâs space to focus, work and actually get to know each other.
If youâd like to join us, comment âHEARTHâ and Iâll send you the details.
You know those days where youâre âworkingâ all day⊠but somehow the important stuff never gets done?
Thatâs exactly why we run our monthly coworking day at The Hub on Verulam tomorrow.
I like to think of it as a âCEOâ day.
A few hours to actually focus on the things that move your business forward:
đstrategy
đplanning
đproposals
đthe admin you keep putting off
đthe ideas you never quite make time for
Because when you work from home itâs very easy to spend the whole day in the business, reacting to things, answering messages, doing bits here and there.
All while having about 47 tabs open in your brain đ€Ș IYKYK
Sometimes a change of space and being around other women doing the same thing is all it takes to get a weekâs worth of work done in a few hours.
If youâre in St Albans and fancy joining us, come and work with us, we are there from 10am-5pm so stay for the whole day! Or pop in for a hour or two
Just comment the word âhubâ and Iâll add you to the list
Wanna be a đž for the dayâŠ..
I always forget to take videos at our coworking days⊠mostly because Iâm either deep in work or having a natter with everyone đ
But yesterday I remembered at the very end of the day when everyone had gone home, so I wanted to show you around @queens.house , an amazing new coworking space in St Albans that flockhere has partnered with.
Weâll now be hosting a monthly coworking meetup there, and all flockhere members get 20% off day passes too đ„ł
And honestly⊠as lovely as your kitchen table might be, this definitely beats working from home.
Our next meet up is on Tuesday 16th April so if you fancy joining us next time, comment QUEEN and Iâll send you the link đ
We did it đ„ł
This week we celebrated our 100th booking on Flockhere đ
Iâm someone who really believes in celebrating the milestones along the way, because building something from scratch can be slow, messy and uncertain at times.
Flockhere didnât start with investment, a big team or a huge launch.
It started with a simple idea I couldnât shake
What if women working from home had a flexible working passport, a way to discover cool places to work from, feel welcome opening their laptop, and maybe even bump into other others doing the same.
So I built it the only way I knew how
I crowdfunded, and I built it with our community at the heart and weâre growing it one booking at a time.
100 bookings might not sound huge in the world of tech startupsâŠ
But when every one represents a real person choosing to try something you created, it means everything.
Hereâs to the first 100.
And to building this the slow, community-first way đ
The sun is (kind of) shining âïž
Hibernation mode? Officially off âïž
This month, swap the kitchen table / spare room / same four walls⊠and come join us đ
Because weâre building something different.
A new way for women to work, flexible, local and genuinely community-driven.
Think ClassPass⊠but for co-working. âïž
One simple ÂŁ25 monthly membership.
Not only are all our meet-ups included, you also:
đBook work spots directly from our curated venue directory
đUnlock perks like free tea & coffee or money off your bill
đAccess beautiful spaces youâll actually want to work from
đBecome part of a micro-community, not just another networking group
And anyone who joins now locks in this price before we move to Version 2.0 đ
So if flockhere has been sitting on your âI really shouldâŠâ list this is your sign.

On Wednesday 4 March, 11am to 4pm, we are proud to be supporting Smart Works with a dedicated clothing donation drive at Christopher Place.
Smart Works is an incredible UK charity that supports women at a crucial moment in their lives, helping them prepare for job interviews and return to employment with confidence. Through professional clothing, coaching and practical guidance, the charity empowers women to feel confident, capable and ready to succeed.
We are inviting our community to donate smart shoesđ , handbags đand selected workwear that are pre loved but still in excellent condition pieces that elevate confidence and feel empowering to wear. These items make a real and immediate difference to women attending interviews and taking steps back into the workplace.
Drop off location:
Opposite Hobbs, Christopher Place
Date: Wednesday 4 March
Time: 11am to 4pm
If you have a pair of shoes, a handbag or workwear you no longer need, this is a simple but powerful way to support women locally and be part of something genuinely meaningful.
A big thank you to Flock Here founder Danielle for her continued support and for helping champion this clothing drive. We are grateful to have such a supportive community behind an initiative that makes a genuine difference.
